Leafs are doing a classy thing by calling up Colton Orr for Saturday. Should have had him as an energy player way sooner, if you have to lose lose with style and not many are better in that regard than him. Orr - Prust should be one for the ages. Guy will be an UFA this season but sadly Burke will sign him.

The kings unlike a lot of other teams are built for the playoffs. Even Mcguire said that they can't be used as an example, going far or all the easy to the cup as a lower seed is the exception not the norm. LA is a big skilled team with elite goaltending, defense and a deep forward group led by Kopitar and Carter. This team can beat others with skill, toughness or a shutdown style..

Too bad it hasn't worked out, was excited when we got him and hoped for a younger big berg tough luck, nothing but the best wishes for him.

Unlike the Kings, Blues this team is not built for the playoffs. Since years now this team has been bottom of the barrel in hits, fights and I guess blocked shots. It's sadly not 2002 anymore so this is not a team that can just get by via skill alone, plus I don't see the needed pack mentality ...so if they make the playoffs not getting swept would be a huge surprise. Is the team as bad as march indicated ? No Are they as good as the standings have shown before march ? No

There are no 3 point games, period. Winner = 2 points, loser either 1 or 0. Losing in OT is just like a draw in soccer.

No matter what happens, the defense does need some serious help. Package Jurco - Pulkinnen - 2nd for defensive help and then get a big bodied winger (yes center would be nice but they aren't available). Bottom 6 also needs some changes

Save for Danny D. he would become the best defender on this team. He is not that overpaid I'd take him for 6 - 6,5 ...and I'm sure the Leafs would be willing to retain a bit.

I know people will hate for me that...but Ottawa deserves this more they've played their butt off during the last weeks and the Wings are embarrassing themselves. Wings need to win both games against Carolina and with Pacioretty missing the game on Thursday a point would be nice, which would give them 100 points ---> they are in no matter what, because Ottawa's max is 99. If Pittsburgh and Detroit are finishing with the same amount of points the Pens will be ranked higher because they own the tie-breaker. Boston has the same number of points and ROW so I guess the next tb would be GF but not sure. Anyway currently the Wings still control their own destiny the Sens do not.

Godström and Rafalski are better than every defender on this team, a prime Z plus younger Pasha aren't replaceable either.As far as Sutter and Quenville they are excellent coaches for sure but like I've said Tippet and Trotz are really underrated.

Yeah and then hire a coach who might work out or won't. If this team misses it's not the fault of Babcock, he isn't responsible for building the team, guy can only work with what Holland is giving him. But I don't think he will stay through a rebuild so it's a mood point anyways. If the streak ends trade guys like Kronwall for picks and try to get Mathews next year to kick start the rebuild.

Feeling bad for Abby but also happy for Ferraro he deserves it guy plays well for the Rapids.

I'm not saying that Sutter and Quenville aren't good coaches because they are. Bylsma: has Crosby, Malkin and then the drop off is huge. Ask the guy needed to do would have been to put Iginla on his natural position.. One of the most underrated coaches to me is Trotz followed by Tippet.

Babcock in Florida? I highly doubt it maybe as ducks coach bit the Panthers nope, they don't have the money to pay him and are a relocation candidate. Pittsburgh (usually), St. Louis, Ducks are great teams without much spotlight or media pressure plus their age structure and size, skill mix is much better. Who wouldn't want to coach a prime Backes alongside Pietrangelo, Tarasenko, Schwartz or Getzlaf, Perry, Fowler in front of Gibson ? The wings sadly aren't having that depth

Sutter: Kopitar, Doughty, Quick, Carter, Gaborik + the most active GM in the last few years in Lombardi Quenville: Kane, Toews, Hossa, Sharp, Keith, Seabrook and upcoming Teravainen, Shaw, Saad... + Bowman who isn't afraid to take risks and make trades Babcock: Zetterberg, Datsyuk...................Kronwall................then the hopefulls: Tatar, Nyquist, DannyD and Sheahan and a GM afraid to go for the big trades, signings I'm really wondering what a guy like Sutter or Quenville could do under that circumstances... I've thought the last two olympics would have been enough proof at wwhat Babcock can do with the right roster guess not. Sometimes I hope he leaves and then some people will see how good he really is and this is nothing against Blashill tons of potential there but it's just that potential.

Can't believe people are thinking his stock is dropping. If the Wings don't re-sign Babcock there will be a line-up of teams for his services.
