DD is a 30-35 point per year Dman. Which would put him in the top 50ish most years. He is also a positive +/- Dman that is typically in the top 50 each year. He is also only 25/26 and most Dmen don't reach their peak until about 30. He may also be a future captain or AC. All of that will add up. I see him averaging at 6-7 million per year and I am hoping that is for all 8 years of a max deal.

Howard had better numbers in October and so far in December. Mrazek was better in November. For the year they are even. Stop wasting time on worrying about our G's. Theya re not the issue. Goal scoring is.

Here are the month by month stats this year: Howard October: 2.21 GAA and a .928 Save % November: 2.56 GAA and a .899 Save % December: 2.14 GAA and a .938 Save % Mrazek October: 2.67 GAA and a .921 Save % November: 1.79 GAA and a .941 Save % December: 2.76 GAA and a .905 Save % These numbers show it about as clear as possible. Nobody plays at a static level every day/week/month/season. All players are up and down. So far our G's have done it perfectly. When Howard is up Mrazek is down, when Mrazek is up Howard is down.

Tonight it becomes 16 starts for Howard and 18 starts for Mrazek. he had the one game he came in for Howard after he got ran over and had a contact issue in his eye. So yes, very close and pretty even.

I am sure he will get a few later in the year. We will have more injuries.

I like Weber, but I would not want his contract. He is already 30 and signed for 9 more years!

For about the 100th time.... Ericsson has a no movement clause. He isn't going anywhere. Besides Weber alone isn't enough. Moving those 2 F would create a major hole in our O which we already have problems with.

Missed one. But this is a classic example of what I am talking about. he gets hurt, misses 4 games. Comes back and plays 2 games, is a positive +/- player and has 2 points. Sits out a game for whatever reason. In your mind you have turned into something that there is no evidence for. "He was benched for a game". Who knows why? I don't. Could have been he was feeling tired after no hockey activites for 10 days during the concussion protocals. maybe a cold or hangover. maybe he was benched. But you are proving my point about ragging on one of our prospects. He was out of the lineup for a game and you see it as some type of negative. No cap room for Weber.

Yup. Snipers/shooters need to be in a shooting position-IE in front of the net somewhere to score.

Ya. People need to watch or at least listen to the Griffins games. mantha has been playing a complete game. In the corners, in the front of the net, back on D, checking etc.... No he will never be McCarty when it comes to physical play. He is however already playing more physical than Sheahan does and has better O.

Manha, AA, and Frk each had a goal and at least 1 assist tonight. AA was credited with a fight as well!

He hasn't been scratched. He missed games earlier this year while injured. Had a concussion. What is a lazy person? By definition a person thatj doesn't work hard. Clearly he is playing much better. To do that he had to work hard. So he isn't lazy. There is always an adjustment period going from jumior/college to pro hockey. Some guys make it quickly other take time. getting hurt and missing camp last year set him back. If you don't think so look at Datsyuk this year. He missed camp and even he admits it has messed him up offensively. he has another goal and an assist tonight. Him AA (who had a fight) and Frk each had 1 goal and at least 1 assist on a line together. His style of play has been much more physical this year. Working in the corners, in front of the net, and yes dropping the gloves. The point of this was there were in fact RW "fans" on this very forum claiming he was a bust, a wasted pick, would never turn into anything, etc... Which says a lot about them.

Yes we do. We can add about 11 million in long term deals. Be it a F or a D or 1 of each. We have plenty of space if we choose to make moves. During the season we are a little tighter on paper. But if guys like Kindl, Smith Helm etc... are heading out, we can still do it.

The one thing I hope happens is a trade. We have plenty of F's that are or close to being NHL ready. Can't keep them all. Make moves to bring in the things we don't have like a crease clearing Dman or a crease plugging F. Better yet, 1 of each!

Good for him. Guys like Ferraro are a dime a dozen. 4th line checkers at best. He cleared waivers last year and didn't get claimed, so this is an improvement for him.

So... do I bother reading the 9 pages of posts, or just assume that "Larkin is great", "Jimmy needs to be benched", "3 on 3 is awesome"...... We did win tonight right? BTW Kronwall is -8 so far this year. On pace for -32 for the season.......

Jurco need PT. He wasn't getting it. hard to show what you can do from the press box. He is healthy and playing well. The Griffs had a terrible start-much like the RW's did with the new staff. Now they are playing better. BTW the mantha Bickel "fight" is on youtube. Nothing to see there. Wasn't a fight. 2 guys hugging, the linesman jumped in and they all fell to the ground. Mantha didn't play tonight becasue "he wasn't feeling right" per the coach. Didn't see anything that looked serious from the fight. Some type of core strain/soreness maybe? Who knows....

Good win. Glad to see both Larkin and Dekeyser come back out. The LAK are a team that I have a hard time imagining us beating in a PO series. Not sure we can survive their physical nature. They have the speed to skate with us and the IR list might get filled up vs. them. Jurco a hat trick in GR. mantha with 2 assists and a fight..... Griffins win 7-4 vs a pretty good SD Gulls team.

Hat trick in GR tonight. He is not a checker which is how he gets used much of the time. On a side night GR wins 7-4. Mantha had 2 assists and a fight vs Stu Bickel. Looking for video to see if it was a fight or just 2 guys hugging each other...... Bickel is pretty tough....

He is a shooter. But someone has to feed him the puck for him to shoot.
