If I could choose... Cleary, Zet, Brunner Franzen, Dats, Nyquist Abby (or Andersson), Fil, Tatar Tootoo, Abby/Andersson, Eaves/Miller This would give us a third line that could be lethal. Cleary on the top line doesn't look great but it gives z and brunner a board/net player and moving franzen down with dats and nyquist gives that line a sniper.

Bert has been a staple in the offense of this team for the past couple years. Not having him and franzen as big (even if they aren't bruising) bodies takes some of the focus off dats and z. Sammy will help out pp as someone who is poised and will shoot. Carlo is a solid puck mover. Not having a consistent mover outside the top pairing is killing this team and forcing them to play a muh more static breakout instead of their typical stretch tape to tape passes from the d to the forwards for the fluid breakout we are used to watching. The injuries are paramount to this teams play because it has forced the wings to play a less creative game looking muh more like a dump and chase team. Which they are clearly not built to be.

Babcock is far from the issue with this team. Don't call for his head until this team has played at least five games together without at least 3 people hurt.

I'm saying this as both a die hard Cleary fan and a proponent of bringing back Sammy; flip should stay at almost all cost. Even if it means buying out Sammy or Cleary and dumping some fourth liner

I'd rather have Sheahan purely because he is center. While Ferraro has played center occasionally, lately he's been on the wing. The wings are over stocked with wingers.

Kindl needs to step up tonight. In my mind this is his final shot at being a regular. If he doesn't seize it (I hope he surprises us all) I say it's time to label him a bust and give the time to developing Lashoff or another young dman

This is great news for him. I would love to see him work his way back into the line up.

I think it all depends on how serious Helms injury ends up being. If Helm ends up re-aggravating his injury and misses time it bumps Abby up to 3rd line center. I'd much rather have Knuble as 4th line center then Emmerton, but if Helms 100% by the end of training camp its a moot point.
