What a joke. Should have fired the guy at the end of last year and give your team a full training camp with a new coach. Or give the guy more than 3 games. The flyers are constantly surprising me with their lack of class when it comes to business decisions. Don't get me wrong there are times to let go of a coach, hiring and firing happen all the time, but now this guy has no chance to be hired for the majority of this year and your team has to keep using his system until (if) they put together a new system with the assistant coach who took over. Another head scratching decision by the flyers.

While I love andy, I would take a healthy helm centering those two 7 days a week. Think of the speed that would line have and helm is defensive minded like andy.

Honestly if a guy jumped Zetterberg or datsyuk and actually jumped him, not just shoved him around a little the league would suspend them. Its not the old league where the players settled all the disputes the league is slowly grandfathering out that way of dispute settling. If kronwall was to lay a big hit the only action that wouldnt' be dealt with by the league is the immediate scrum that always follows.

This team shouldn't be as offensively inept as last year. Expect them to be 1-5 in the East. The lack of size won't be what catches up with us it'll be the olympic break and whether or not our players have legs when they come back from overseas. A good stat will be what teams have the most players go to the Olympics and how those teams fare after the break.

Makes me miss stuart... putting smith with stewie would have been absolutely pivotal in letting Smith develop into an offensive dman.

I expect a slow start, but honestly as wings fans we are used to slow starts. Z is especially prone to not producing constantly until the fifteen game mark. I would expect something similar for alfie. If from games 10-25 he hasn't started to produce offense ill be worried. Not until then.

The only good things to take away from this is 1) at least the kids line is still together 2) We'll get one more look at Oullet, Sheehan, and Almquist
