not saying it isn't impressive, but those are small sample numbers. there is no real way of determining if he would play at that pace over a full 82 game season, and he has never gotten more then 109 points in a season, so he is not the best player in the last 20 years.

not to mention, they are red wings commentators, not nbc, or cbc, or sportsnet, they are red wings commentators. So when I am complaining about a penalty, it's nice to hear our bcommentators complain too, not say, well it is the refs discretion

Do you think he is better than a 33 year old gretzky that got 130 points in 81 games in 93-94? that list doesn't surprise me, heis a great player, it will go down a bit towards the end of his career, but he is the best in the last 10-15 years, not 20 years.

it's dropping by 6 million. I just don't see how Jbo will help us, we have a strong young defensive core now, especially after winning the dekeyser battle. Our focus should be on strengthening our top-6 now with a young power forward that can become a franchise player

Huskins is gone now, Kindl is playing real well for us, and Lashoff is too, the reason I say possibly Lashoff, is because he is still and rookie, and he definitely needs a night off here and there, it is hard to jump right in the nhl and be as consistent as he has, but it also wears you down in your first year, bigger stronger, faster, opponents

Ok, Iginla provided a list of three "cup contenders" he would be willing to go to. Now it is the day the deal is happening, they are finalizing the last few details and a contract is ready to be signed. I don't know if we get Jbo, with a 6.68 million cap hit, we would need to dump salary for next season, and I don't see that happening, especially with raises going to jimmy, Brunner, andersson, nyquist, kindl, and smith, and especially our #1 priority Cleary, we just won't have money for that plus an extra 6.68 million. say we dumped, cleary, white, filppula, and miller, and bought out sammy, and colaiacovo, that would leave us with just enough money for jbo, then there is the issue of finding top 6 talent...
