We are finally starting to get bigger, plus we have tootoo, Ericsson, Smith, Lashoff, and sometimes Abby who are all willing to drop the gloves whenever needed IIRC it was because he was defending Selanne, or at least defending selanne's dives lol -

they are 8-0-2 in their last 10, I'm pretty sure they have a point in their last 11 or 12 games, and they are tied for 8th right now, if they keep up like this then they will certainly make the playoffs, and get swept by the wings

shhh, the Howie bashers will be upset that you point out that he isn't just average, they will also mention how if howie plays good we shouldn't mention how good he plays... Anyways great win for us, I hope we keep the momentum going Sunday, and Brunner gets his first hat trick too get him off the third line. Per NHL.com They traded a conditional 4-5th round pick for the 2015 draft, and the devils get a conditional 7th round pick for 2015. What always confuses me, is what is the NHL's criteria for a "veteran" player. D'agostini is 26 and has played four years, yet they refer to him as a "veteran" forward. I think players should have to be 30+ for that title and at least 5 full seasons played

agree to disagree, +/- is not a great way of determing how good/bad a player is. Everyone knows that he had a bad year last year, but being in the midst of trade talks for 2 years cannot be easy either. -

I actually did that in january, broke my toe, and the bone behind it, work has been very difficult these past two months, although it has finally healed now no, I don't think I have ever fallen out of bed, although I did recently wake up thinking I was falling, which sucks lol. The person below me is going to buy all kinds of chocolate the day after easter

maybe, at least we can agree his cap hit is awful. Look at Ovie though, then tried to turn him into a 2 way forward and he just couldn't play thesame anymore, St. Louis started playing the trap last year, no one could score on them, but they didn't put up huge offensive numbers. I don't think JBo is elite, but he is very good, just in the wrong setting he doesn't put up the numbers he did in Florida. I bet he could replicate those numbers in the winged wheel. -
Really?!? Suter is a -2, not very good for a defensive defenseman at a 7.5 million cap hit. Parise didn't even show up in that game, and has 23 points in 29 games, which normally would be pretty good, but for 7.5mil a year, I laugh at you. I am glad we missed out on the olsen twins, Suter is garbage without Weber, and Parise is good but they are both wayyy over payed and were way over hyped. Have fun always having a mediocre team that cannot win a cup

05-06 5 goals, 46 points +1 06-07 12 goals, 42 points +23 07-08 15 goals, 37 points -5 08-09 17 goals 42 points -2 Obviously the flames is not a good fit for him, I think he could do very well in Detroit, but that cap hit is very unnattractive -
There is a difference between over ripening and having an entire team of young kids, look at edmonton. Nicastro, DeHaas and Merchenko are very much un proven at the nhl level, Dekeyser may not sign with us, and Oullet and Sproul may not be what we anticipate earlier, your theory however much enticing is based on a lot of things going right, and you missed Colaiacovo in there, he is signed this year and next

I think it has to do more with modern medicine and knowing the long term effects of playing through injuries. Maybe #19 wouldn't have been playing through so much pain at the end of his career if he had let his knee heal fully. Guys would play with concussions, broken bones (if possible) "sore" joints/limbs etc...
