Well removing Cleary would be a great start, get Brunner off the point and put him in the slot, Kronwall and Sammy can work the points and zetterberg or Datsyuk can feed Brunner. as long as cleary goes down in gametime minutes I'll be happy

Axe you ignore facts, I have pointed out Howie's numbers the past three seasons several times. People Have mentioned how crappy our defense is and how good Howie has actually been playing, sure he's let in a couple softies, but he has given us every opportunity to win every night. Howie caan't stop every breakaway, 2 on 1, shorthanded opportunities and so on that come every single game. Not even Brodeur in his prime would be able to keep this team winning. You need to stop looking simply at numbers and start looking at what's happening on the ice, Rinne, Lundquist, Miller, Brodeur, Rask, Quick, and Price would all do just as bad on our team. It's become absolutely mind numbing to even think about cleary anymore, it's nice to have sammy back so I can pick on him instead I like the guy, but we'll see what he can do for us

Maybe babs is betting against the wings. Cleary does a good job of making sure we don't score when he's out there. He also trys hard to take penalties if the other team seems to want to score

Do shots against the glass somehow translate to goals? lol I don't mind giving him a couple games, he has been injured and only has played three games so far split between the start of the season and now. Soon he'll be logo hunting again and who knows maybe he will accidentally score too

I wouldn't say he played horrible, the first goal he couldn't see the puck, he let in a soft one off a faceoff, butthe rest of the game he seemed to play pretty well, and bailed us out a few times. All in all, goaltending is the least of our worries currently

I agree with everything you said but the last point, crimson never said Brunner doesn't have potential, he just said it is too soon to classify him as a star player, which I agree with, but if he continues playing this well, he will be a star player

brunner? I believe Lidstrom, Rafalski, Stuart. Although I don't agree with Stuart being an all star

Right now Zetterberg Datsyuk and Brunner ARE our team, after that, there isn't much to be happy about. Tatar has been impressive though

Minny isn't necessarily a *bad* team, yes they aren't playing great so far but they do have the pieces for a pretty decent team when they want to play that way.

You realize that we lost the game because of our vets right. Not only can they not score, guys like white, cleary , quincey, and kronner are coughing the puck up way too much. Go back and watch the goals anaheim scored, they were all direct results of our vets making a bad play, notthe rookies

While I agree with you, it seems that trading for a dman would be much more logical. There isn't much in the way of decent dmen coming up this offseason, but there are some big ufa's coming up on the forward end, Getzlav, Perry, Wellwood, Horton, Ribeiro all spring to mind
