Nhls new site lacks something and it annoys me. The ability to see what the standings were on any given day in any given year. So if you wanted to compare to where we were this time last year points wise you can't do it on nhl.com anymore

They've been trying to trade Phaneuf for two years now. Why would they trade for stamkos at the deadline when they have no chance of making the playoffs? Why wouldn't they wait till the off-season and sign him? Not saying it's not possible but it doesn't make sense. They'd have to give up a lot to get stamkos and that would completely unravel everything shanny is trying to do in Toronto. It would end up being the same thing every other gm there does, salivate and the opportunity to trade for a big star trade everything away for it, start the rebuild over. Rinse and repeat for another 20 years.
