Russia wins Gold with Dats scoring the dececive goal 7. Pens will reach the SC-Finals 8. but will lose it against the Blues 9. Brunner will play a hell of a season 10. Weiss will start off slow but is a force at the end of the season

They did use the rule in the preseason, so no problem there. Officials are more of a concern but admittedly that was also the case with the old rule. In fact I see no valid point why this rule shouldn't be introduced. It makes the game safer while maintaining its style. Whish it would be so easy with the hitting-rules.

Nothing to add. I like the new rule.

Well that move was to be expected. 4th Line looks awful especially with Miller as Center and Sammy on the Wing. 3rd Line has some grid at least with Andersson and Bert. That might be the slowest Line ever sent on ice but I liked what I've seen from Bert this preseason. Add Clearys experience and heart to it and they should be fine.

It's (kind of) great. Looks like Canucks Fans can do other things than burning down city centers.

Give Weiss and Alfie some time to get used to the Wings game. If their numbers aren't as high as usual for the first few weeks I wouldn't worry to much. Not every new player is a perfect fit right from day one.

Problem is not only rooster space but much more cap limit. We are already over it and Pietroangelo will demand something around and above 4 Mil. . Freeing that will be very hard.

The point that nev and some others make is more that you cannot blame a professional Athlet for deciding against a better team and taking more money instead. And, by the way, I can understand every person who does. It's the same everywhere : You don't need to love what you do, you only need to be good at it. You probably won't get the love and passion of the fans like people as Yzerman, Orr, Crosby and many others get. But that doesn't turn them instantly into bad and unprofessional players or bad persons per se. And that you can decide against money and still be called professional is out of question and as far as I understood, never argued for by anyone.

Its not so difficult to suck if you're injured. And it's pretty easy to become a whipping-boy when you cost much but can't proof if you worth it. Let see what Sammy can do if healty and reevaluate his contract then. If he turns out to be a solid Top-6er the 3 Mil. are justified in my eyes.
