Singling out Franzen is as stupid as it gets right now. The whole team, with the notable exception of our goalies, sucks right now. Sure, Franzen should bring more to the table but Nyquist, Zetterberg, Tatar, Smith etc. (you name them) should do too. And we all know Mule floats some time of the year. Every player does from time to time except the super stars. Nothing unusual here, especially if you take his caphit into account. -

You could very well argue that the Sammy and Tootoo signings both indeed were crippling. They didn't trash our team completely but do you remember the rosterspot log-jams and cap-problems of these days ? If thats not crippling what is ? -

It did lead to you saying something positive in this thread so it was worth the effort. We have two Connor McDavid contenders to play before Christmas. Usually we don't show our best effort against those teams but somehow this streak has to end. And if it doesn't end at least against the Sabres I don't know. -

First period was so-so, nice goal from Z and a somewhat unlucky goal against us. Islanders coming strong in the second but Mrazek with a few great saves. Howard out with an injury (precautionary). And before I forget : Happy birthday Scott. -

Depends on how you define "the best" . Jimmy plays a very calm non aggressive style which probably looks slower but you won't put up his stats if you are a slow goalie. Same goes for the rebounds as well.
