Hard to choose with a season with so many injuries and so many players that played for the team. Gustavsson was a good backup when healty. stood tall when he needed to. Without him we wouldn't be in the playoff. But beeing a good backup doesn't qualify one as MVP, if the goalie then this honour would belong to Howie. And Howie was to inconsitent for that imho. Nyquist was great obviously but it's the same as with Gustavsson : Without him we wouldn't have made it but he also didn't play enough for my taste. Wiht Z out for equal reasons that leaves only Kronwall and Alfredsson. Hard to decide but (Spoiler Alert) I'm going along with Nev here. Kronwall never was spectacular like Nyquist and he also had a few outright bad games. But despite that he manged to pile up piont after piont . You could almost say the same about Alfie but what impresses me more about Kronner is that while he constantly scored he was also usually our strongest D-man by far. And that's why Kronner is the MVP.

Nice game to watch. Now bring the Bruins ! Saving the butt pats for the playoffs ?

I met some cocaine addicts during my law studies and the only thing they need is help. You won't change anything by taking the actions you suggested. Neither do change Malones mind ( if he has only a tiny piece of his brain left he already knows that he has to become clean), nor do you prevent others from becoming addicted. Only thing I wonder is if he did break regulations regarding doping with that kind of behaviour.

In the end I don't think it does matter who we get. It's more important how we play them. Sure, Pens look a bit weaker on paper with a weaker D and doubtful goaltending. But on the other hand we played good against Boston this year, so I don't see why we should'nt win a series against them. Last year they were on the edge of being elminated by a Maple Leafs team that is not as good as our team this year. The Wings on the other hand defeated the No.2 last year and brought the eventual StanleyCup-Champion to a nailbiting Game 7. And this year our team is even better. So I don't fear the "Big Bad Bruins", let them come.

We made it ! With our list of injuries it's almost a miracle. Many guys were mentioned but I like to give much credit to Kenny who gets sometimes to much criticism here. But in the end he was right with letting Tatar and Gus play that long in the minors. And he got us hte right guy at the right time in Legwand, who put up point after point when we needed it the most. And the farm is still full of great prospects. Compare that to Vancouver or Toronto. Future indeed looks bright for us Red Wings fans. I don't care how many rounds we survive this playoffrun*, this year was great and in the last third of the season this team was absolutely exciting to watch. Admittedly sometimes only because of our famous regular third-period two goal lead meltdowns, but even they become fun when the Wings manage secure victory despite. It's like watching Monster in net : You almost get a heart attack every time you see him moving and getting out of position but somehow he gets the work done. How dull is watching Ryan Miller in comparison. To the next 23 years and let's GO Wings ! *I'm not totally honest here. Reaching round 2 would be nice, because I probaly can't watch Round 1 because of my bar-exam.
