I don't think we need a #2 D-Man. Kronwall and Ericsson proofed that they can play that. We lack more on the #4 position, or to name it : Quincy. It's not so much Quincys mistakes that make cost us, it's his lack of points. If we can replace him with another #4 puckmoving D-man that actually puts up points it would be a huge improvement.

What a game ! Given the first period we can't complain over the point.

We relying to much on Howard and our luck right now for my taste.

While it is true that our D isn't the problem concerning goals allowed it is lacking in offensive numbers. I've seen statistics before Christmas where we were dead last in terms on shots on goal by D-man Right now we have only three D-Man with more than one goal. Kronwall ( 6), Quincy (3) and DeKeyser (2). Our whole D (excluding Amlquist) shot 15 goals. Webber and Chara each alone shot 13. The only two effective puckmoving D-man we have right now are Kronwall and Smith, from whom one is still very young and learning while beeing inconsistent because of this. And our supposed second veteran puckmoving D-man is Kyle Quincy which pretty much sums up the problems we have on the point-producing side of things. With the system the Wings usually play we have to get a more effective offensive D-man or somehow get our existing D-core to produce more points. Frankly I'd rather like to see a #2 offensive D-man here than a superstar forward.

Don't think so, like toby said it's much easier to rebuild in the cap-era than it was before. When Z and Dats retire we'll have a ton of money to spent on upcoming free agents. Plus we have have a great front office. I know Holland gets critized pretty much by some around here. But an organisation that is able to draft guys like Tatar und Mrazek with very high picks is absolutly able to rebuild a team from a better draftpositions. We may even see one of our upcoming superstars with Anothny Mantha right now. I may take some time and ,since we are in the cap-era, we will most likley not regain the dominance of the late 90's/early 00's but we will not spent 20 years near the bottom of the league or out of a playoffspot. Will me make the playoffs every time ? I don't think so either, the league is becoming to competetive for that. But those bust years will be the future boom years if you draft skillfully and don't waste yout upcoming talents or picks in dumb trades. So they are kind of necssesary to build a cupwinning team these days.

I never got into the first Bioshocks but Infinite blew my mind. It's only the second game that made me think of the ending for a couple of days after I finished it. The first one was the first DeusEX. The gamemechanics are pretty dull for the most time, but the story and the world make up for that. It's without a doubt one of the best games I've ever played and I play a lot of stuff.

frankgrimes already covered the 4th goal, on the thrid what other choice does he have than to follow the puck ? It's in the responsibility of the other players to make sure that the eventual goalscorer is somehow covered.

Which he didn't. He has played an average game, nothing spectacular but not bad either. I've seen no major mistakes from him so far.

Not his best performance for sure, but the blame is not entirely on him. That last odd man rush for example must not happen during a PP.

Nice period. It's the dreaded two-goal.lead but even with this team thats probably better than trailing one. If Monster doesn't pull a Outdoorgame-Brodeur we should be fine.
