I doubt it’s the injury, he was medically cleared, he’s young and otherwise healthy. 30 pro GMs didn’t take him for free. That speaks volumes about the difference in how the pros think and how forum posters think. Agreed.

I mean if this was the corporate world, sure I stand my ground. But with pro-sports and as an up and coming player, if it has gone on this long, I would take the $1.9 million and play some hockey and prove my worth after 1 year or whatever the offer is. Especially because after looking at the franchise track record; they pay their RFAs decently well in their 2nd contracts (Nyquist, Tatar, etc)

I was trying to say that a few weeks ago. Just take the stupid contract and build your reputation, and NHL stats for a better contract down the road.

You underestimate me. Probably because the way I post now is different than I did years ago. I agree about the mental toughness and raw skill. He is very skilled. But it takes more for the NHL.

Besides never said you were one of the folks, you usually back your s*** up pretty well, have things thought out, don't talk out of your ass, nor do you conclude your premises with "henceforth Holland sucks" as a cheap plug. Oh trust me I will. It's too early though. Just wait a couple of years to see if Ras really does do well. One of the most annoying things on this forum is the attitude people have brought the last 2 years before anything even comes into fruiting, acting like they know better because a team that was once amazing is finally on a downhill slope.

Michael Rassmussen is 18 years old and his faceoff percent is 54%. Dylan Larkin is a 3 year pro and his faceoff percent still struggles at 46% this preseason No knock on Larkin, some people take a long time to get good at faceoffs (some people never get good), all I'm saying is Rasmussen may already be ahead of the curve in that department. He's our best faceoff guy on the team too. And he's taken a lot of faceoffs so the sample size is adequate.

Assuming he did get a lot of minutes. But if he doesn't get minutes its not worth it for him to be in the pros.

He's doing better than Larkin did in his first training camp/preseason. Technically he should get the main roster spot. But he won't

I'm not so sure. Brenden Smith was doing ok, Jensen did good, Kronwall and Ericsson just got old. I think DK is just overrated in general. He has terrible aim for a slap shot, he gets juked out a lot of times and for his size he's pretty weak too.
