Former Red Wing, Drew Miller gets PTO with Blackhawks
kickazz replied to krsmith17's topic in General
Yeah. And this one too. So with no answer are we safe to assume theres a checkmate @kliq? The tally must be 100 to 0. -
There is so much baseless nonesense in this post, I can't even pick it apart. It's like finding a needle in a poopstack. Blashill gives AA 63% offensive zone starts. Gives him PP time and gives him lesser competition. AA is Vanek 2.0 except he kills penalties because they want him to be versatile. Excuse Blashill for wanting more out of a player he thinks can do more.

And suppose our cap situation gets fixed and Holland wants a 12th/13th forward as Miller? Would it still be "good for them (us) and great for Miller?" -

You mean if he does Stan Bowman is as dumb as Ken Holland. -

The fact that Miller even has a PTO speaks volumes to the way keyboard GMs treated him on this forum. -

Afraid of being wrong. Not sure why, should be used to it by now after all these years and accounts. -

He asked you about Bowman. Don't try to dodge the question -
Right Ovie just doesnt give a s*** enough to try but he could be decent if he did. He does it sometimes
-
Patrick Kane. He's terrible. Ovechkin. But those two are eons ahead of AA offensively so its ok
-
Two years later and this guy is still on about Drew Miller

Franzen was good defensively and killed penalties. My point is he's a natural center. If that's the case then he should continue to think like a center and learn defensive hockey just in case. Franzen played Wing even though he was a natural center, but that didn't stop Babcock from forcing him to play defensively when needed. No it just lets me point out one of the millionth time you've talked out your ass. AA isn't a winger. He's a center that's used as a winger. That's the truth. Why do they want him to be more defensively aware? Who knows, but a good reason could be because he still takes faceoffs for this team from time to time (200+ so far). Maybe they still see him as a potential/alternate center. Why else play him on the PK? They're obviously trying to mold him to be defensive and purposely putting him in those situations. So I'm not sure if your "well he's a winger" theory carries much weight.
-
We don't know that. Zetterberg didn't start playing center until later on. Both AA and Larkin are used as winger, just for now. Things can change, we don't have the blueprints to Blashill's thought process.
-
Except he's a natural center.

No I'm still right honey.

Both. But you're not intelligent enough to understand that You are a good boy though.

Intelligent response.

KHL doesn't have good coaches and playing on a s*** team in a mediocre league and a 39 year old washed up Datsyuk will probably do him bad. Going up against Crosby, McDavid, Kane will do him good. Learning to play against a team coached by Babcock, Quennvelle, Trotz will increase his hockey IQ. But you're too fixated on Blashill's lap to understand those elements of the NHL.

Man the Red LED lights around the stadium are the best feature.

No but I can see your people from where I live.

96 east to 94 east, then 215b towards M10 south then exit 3 for forest avenue , left onto forest avenue then after about a mile, right onto woodward avenue. keep going down for 1 mile and LCA is on your right Straight up from memory by the way. But I would use a GPS because you never know when construction happens and what road is closed down in Detroit.
-
Why not? He's hyped up here. If he thinks he's worth $3million with minimal NHL experience then surely he can land sponsorship
-
No. AA could get better sponsors and opportunities in North America and could just as easily make up the difference. So no the $1 million isn't worth it to go to a lesser league while he could increase his stock and get legit sponsors in the better league.

This forum and millions others on the internet have had a crap ton of Zetterberg vs. Datsyuk threads over the years. This time the question is, who is the better one in their respective twilight years and which older version would you rather have on your team? I found a few older threads listed below. They are from 2005, 2007, and 2014. (we have LGW opinions from a 12 year period..)

Well, statistically Dats always made everyones Corsi significantly higher so the advance stats answer is probably Datsyuk. But actual goals/assists (the end result so to speak) wise, Z made Hudler, Filpula, Samulssen, Larkin, Mantha, Abdelkader, Nyquist, Tatar, Brunner (the list goes on.. Bertuzzi, Cleary) all look like top 6 players, or better top 6 players. Most of Datsyuk's linemates were the better wingers on the team like Hossa, Franzen, Holmstrom, even Zetterberg himself. Towards the tail end of his career Datsyuk got stuck with Richards for a while though while Z got to play with Nyquist. Having said all that, if Zetterberg was ever slumping, Datsyuk was always the go-to player they put him with to get him going. The same wasn't true for Datsyuk, he rarely lost consistency and if he did, he usually found it back himself

I thought you were referring to Hague.
