That you're purely speculating that they will somehow purposely not bring AA to camp when they have every ability to do so. (unless they are trading him and don't care to bring him to camp)

Broken Kronwall almost broke two people just a few months ago this past season. I'd take this anyday over "can't shoot the puck straight Dekeyser" even if he only plays half the games.

He is definitely capable, but he doesn't play that type of game. He's not much of a puck retriever or (to take it up a notch) a two-way center; not unless he's on the PK. That's why Blashill gives him the s*** treatment when it comes to minutes. I've noticed it too to be honest. He gotten better about it as the season progressed though. I almost think Blashill puts AA on PK just to force him to play the retriever/defensive game at some point during the 60 minutes. It's a forced way to increase someone's hockey IQ. As much as Blashill is given s*** about AA's minutes, putting him on PK is probably the smartest decision he's made for his further development.

Hopefully he proves everyone wrong and has a nice comeback season and scores 40 points. Maybe I just have a soft spot for knee injuries after seeing what Yzerman went through and still proving people wrong in 2002. Or maybe it's because I have meniscus wear and tear in my left knee too Wouldn't mind Ericsson getting dumped in a trade though.

But according to you it's not going to matter for 3 years so who cares if we have some veterans until then? Daley, Green, Kronwall, Howard, Ericsson all will be gone. Holland's doing exactly what you're saying except he's also thinking about the "meantime". He knows that years down Larkin, Mantha, Cholowski could take over this team. He's already said it in his one hour interview that I posted earlier this summer on these forums. Nothing you said is any different from his game plan. The only difference is he still wants to keep vets here for now and doesn't want to tank.
