All you've done is stated the obvious possible hypothetical scenario, one that Holland himself probably hopes for but can't guarantee. Just like you can't. All these players you named ARE drafted by Holland himself. So sit tight and see if your scenario works out in 3 years and if it does , be sure to give Holland credit for it since he's the guy who drafted all the players you named. FYI that's not a new rebuild or anything.

Uh no. Do people assume their rebuild started with Babcock or something? Go look at their draft picks since 2007. They're been attempting to rebuild for over a decade and even now the best they've done is get to 8th seed or whatever it was last year. They're STILL a work in progress even after the 10 years of rebuilding.

By the time the future draft picks get in and play the vets will be long gone. Assuming the team sucks for the next 3-4 years.

What's Svech projected at right now anyways? Is he looking like 1st pick or just top 5 area? If I was Holland I would make moves to make sure we land Svech so he could play with his bro. Didn't the Vancouver GM back in the 90s make some trades to get the 1st and 2nd pick just so he could have Henrik and Daniel Sedin together on one team? I know the Svech brothers have openly said they want to be able to play together in the NHL. Nothing beats brotherly chemistry on ice unless your name is Datsyuk or Zetterberg and you're non-blood related twins.

Quite frankly I thought it was good that he was shining in the developmental camp drills even while he's been out of commission since January. Obviously the work ethic and personal conditioning strengths are there. Hockey wise none of us have really seen anything yet and probably won't see him at 100% until mid way through this season, may be even longer. It took Mantha an entire season to recover from the broken leg and actually perform at his personal level. Broken wrists are worse. I predict he won't make the AHL squad till the end of the season just as Cholowski didn't. And it won't be because he's not good enough, probably because he's not going to be 100% for a long time. Maybe he'll get some playoffs games with the Griffins.

During prospect camp he couldn't even participate in the scrimmage. I'd assume they don't want him taking too many faceoffs. When I read some of his scouting reports previously, I saw that he was the key faceoff taker on his teams he played on previously; so it could be injury still.
