  1. And with Toews decline would he still be worth 10.5 million a year that he signed initially? He's close to scoring 50 point this year an all time low for him. And last year only scored only 58 and had ZERO goals in the playoffs last year. He's been declinine for about 3 years now and this year has been his worst by far. So Frank tell us, is Toews worth that 10.5 million this year? You're certainly saying Ericsson is no longer worth the contract he signed. Your thinking is that if a player signed a contract then he was obviously worth it at the time, and now that someone brought up Ericsson, you're back tracking and saying that some players may not be worth that amount later on in the contract. And since EVERYONE in the league agrees than Toews is no longer the player he was couple of years ago... would the same rule you're applying to Ericsson apply towards Toews? Is Toews worth the same dollar amount this year as he was when he signed that contract a couple years ago?
  2. You are up in arms. If you weren't you wouldn't be repeatedly responding in the thread.
  3. You've confused him even more. That's why we speak to him in simple terms.
  4. Subjective worth is useless. Objective worth is real. The cars value in the market is $6000. Don't care if you think it's worth $100k or $1 dollar. As for the bold part, you've been the most active member talking about the top 100 list.
  5. No they aren't lol. Do you live your life without understanding basic marketing, asset worth and values? A home owner could sell a house for a million dollars to a sucker, doesn't mean the market value of that house is actually a million dollars. It could be 700k. Welcome to America and capitalism. Years ago my 2000 mustang's kelly blue book value was listed at $6000. Sold that s*** for $9000 to some college undergrad who really wanted a mustang. That car was not worth $9000 lol. We live in a world of stupid people who get exploited.
  6. I'm actually already planning a trip with some friends to for a week. We're making sure a Red Wings game falls into that week. I feel as though it's one of those things you just gotta do. Go watch your favorite team in Sin City while drunk and broke as hell from losing at poker and not actually giving a crap about it.
  7. Well the arena is on the actual Vegas strip. So there's absolutely going to be ticket sales alright. They get millions of people coming through there yearly. I wouldn't be surprised if every game is sold out. You have to actually have been to Vegas to understand that people throw money at literally anything over there. Drunk at a hockey game after poker at Monte Carlo? Yep.

    Celebrity Game

What would that do? Nobody wants to watch some non-famous people on ice lol. I'd rather watch Celebrities I know of. Would you rather watch me or Trump? kliq or Will Smith? frankgrimes or Leonardo DiCaprio? TheXym or Robert Di Niro ? Kipwinger or Brad Pitt? Number9 or Hugh Jackman? BottleofSmoke or Betty White?
  9. I am Ken Holland. Anything else?
  10. But most of all the reason I think Larkin truly is faster than Connor McDavid is because when the conditions were equal (during their respective relays) Larkin recorded a time of 12.894 while McDavid recorded 13.020. It's not even close. He would have destroyed McDavid because a 1 second difference is huge on ice.
  11. I still think Larkin would beat Connor McDavid. McDavid didn't exactly start from the Red line, they did gave him a head start, he started about 2 feet behind the red line. McDavid also skated right behind the goal while Larkin skated behind the goal line. Larkin also slipped and McDavid didn't. See below. Larkin skated around full length of goal line, McDavid didn't. They both had head starts, Larkin had a bigger one. So head start vs. slip, vs one taking a slightly longer route than the other. I don't declare McDavid the winner until conditions are equal.
  12. But the NHL will keep Larkin's record as the official one. You know that.
  13. The minor league baseball team Las Vegas 51s have been around since 1983 so if they're actually pouring money into this national team then don't be surprised if it lasts forever. Supposedly there's a crap ton of corporate clients that are already buying tickets for reserve for the entirety of the season.
  14. I don't care for technicalities. Larkin is the record holder. Just like no-goals can turn into goals due to subjective officiating, this one counts too. YAY LARKIN!

    Celebrity Game

Probably because society is a lot more sensitive now than during those guys' primes. Which is why somebody is trying to make a certain country great again. HA! That's probably why I don't actually hate Bieber, I grew up in a household with people who religiously were fans of the mentioned rockstars. I think a lot of us with that background (even if it's loose) are used to controversy.

    Celebrity Game

Well I don't hate Bieber , but from what I've seen people who hate him have good reason. I mean "the kid" (22 year old grown adult), spit on his fans from the balcony, spit on his neighbors face and threatened to kill him, punched a kid (actual kid who was a teenager), groped an underaged girls breasts. I think there's a a good 20 other things he's done that has caused people to get ticked off. Resisting arrest, DUI, public vandalism, illicit drug use, reckless driving charges, using the "N" word on video, talking about how he would be part of the "KKK" I mean he has been prosecuted for a lot of these issues. And he's done some jail time. He's a celebrity but also a borderline criminal (speaking within the bounds of law). But I'd be lying if I said I don't enjoy his music.
  17. Walked right into it. Now we wonder how long till he gets the boot again. Thank you everyone for playing.
  18. Loved it. Snoop Dogg is the man.
  19. Let me put it in a simple timeline for you. 1982 Illitch buys the org. One year later Yzerman is drafted, works his ass off and becomes a top 3 or 4 player in the league, becomes an attractive centerpiece, takes the Red Wings to the conference finals in 1987 for the first time in like 20 years. In 1993 Scott Bowman is hired and the rest follows suit and falls into place. Do you get it? How do you plead? A. Smart or B. Not
  20. Didn't say he was responsible for any of those. Said he was an attractive piece to a franchise that started it all. Nice try with the flame-bait though lol. But you've lost your touch Billy.

    Jeff Blashill

The towel guy? No way man. I heard he looks up to all the players.
  23. Let me put it this way. There's opinion that makes sense and is justifiable and there's opinion that makes no sense, is rubbish and has no justifiable evidence.. That's why people who do that get called out repeatedly. Certain members scapegoat players to make themselves feel better about something that bothers them. When adversity gets in the way as a fan they like to put the blame on something to feel better. Franzen, Holland, Blashill, Swedish players, Ericsson, Helm, Zetterberg, and most likely countless others since they joined the forums. What makes you think Zetterberg isn't speaking up after every game? Redmond's statement was meant to be figure-of-speech like. Not literal. If you aren't smart enough to realize that then lol. Take a look at the following post. TheXym has an opinion different than mine. But he can justify his thought process and actually make sense of it. I responded with "well said". It's called having a dialogue. So no, I don't act like people who have different opinions than me aren't real fans. But I do get involved when people spew out nonsense and don't have good reasons/justifiable evidence for it. I'm not a fan of rubbish being spread around the interwebs.

    Jeff Blashill

Probably more excited for a change than actual Blashill. The players on the other hand legit wanted Blashill. Specifically the younger ones he coached in the AHL.
