Would've been nice for Hossa HIMSELF to do so after we couldn't keep him

Personally I like Eveready Energizer AA more than Duracell.

Dickie's response, we all have it memorized: "It's the length of term that's the issue, he didn't earn it" And the godam circle is complete for the 10th time this month. There I just saved everyone another pointless repeated convo. Can we talk about something else now.

So we can all agree that Blashill is inept and if the reports about Zetterberg contradicting the coach and the Swedish Mafia calling the shots in the locker room are true, they were right to do so? Am I right??? Justified? -

@kickazz Woah we can do this on the website now? -
To be honest, aside from taking faceoffs, the Winger/Center position has become one and the same that last 8 years or so.

Part of the issue I think Babcock is given too much credit here (even I do it). No doubt he is a better coach than Blashill, but he also had the luxury of prime Zetterberg and Datsyuk. Just look at how the 2013, 2014 and 2015 seasons went. Z and D carried us into the 2013 playoffs. In 2014 when they both got injured, we BARELY made it into the playoffs. In fact we did worse that year under Babcock than we did with Blashill last year. It's no wonder Babcock booked it as soon as Zetterberg showed signs of age in the playoffs against Tampa bay in 2014-15. I think a team with elite superstar players like Datsyuk and Zetterberg will always trump a team with Tatar, Nyquist, Larkin, Nielsen at their best. It's not that we no longer have Babcock and now we have Blashill. That's a small part of the equation. I think the bigger/biggest part is that we no longer have Lidstrom, Datsyuk and only a fraction of Zetterberg. I mean just look at the difference between the 2012 and 2013 season. We had such a hard time getting into the playoffs as soon as we lost Lidstrom, while in 2012 we broke the NHL record for home win streak... -

That's true, at the end of the day the team is a business after all and their job is to sell their product to the consumers (fans) -
Yeah, I mean not necessarily heroin or cocaine but sometimes could even be a prescription drug taken for an illness and accidental overdose. That's why I hate taking meds for anything.

Not going anywhere when a 36 year old at half his previous speed is leading the team in points either. -

Ehh maybe. I think they're all still true fans but when your team is no longer entertaining, people might feel their 3 hours can be better off spent doing something than being depressed. Maybe come back and watch highlights and recap the game but not sit through it for hours. It's very hard to be a bandwagoner when it comes to Detroit sports imo. Most fans are legit fans or their parents or grandparents were fans that taught them the ways, the history is just too deep. Just look at the Lions lol. Team has sucked for 40 years and still has one of the largest following. -

I think a lot of us are around but we just don't have anything to say during the game because the losses are becoming routine. -

Was impressive before the injury not gonna lie -
Well I think they're assuming if he died due to heart/cardiac reasons. But we have no idea. Usually if it's as young of a guy as him, you assume he had some sort of heart defect he was born with or cocaine. Heart and death don't go together at 23 years old. Way too rare. Guess we'll find out eventually the cause of death. Really sad whatever the reasons are. Way too young. Feel bad for my favorite announcer.
-
I'm sure there's a legit reason behind it. Like I know we all think Blashill has idiotic tendencies. But this would be way borderline mental if he has him on 4th line for purely "demotion" reasons. And so far with the minutes Larkin is getting (18 minutes last game) it seems like he's being worked for sure.
-
Right, I would be ecstatic if we ran 4 scoring lines that could do some damage (I.E not Drew Miller as Larkin's winger), but at least we're sort of moving in the direction. Now all we need is some guys to come back from injury and see if Blash actually is trying to run 4 scoring lines or if I'm just giving him too much credit
-
Larkin was demoted to 4th line or whatever but he's still averaging 1st line minutes. Blashill's attempting to run 4 scoring lines but obviously people are pissed because they see it as a demotion for Larkin rather than a balancing of the lines especially with all the injuries we have. Not saying I approve of this, but this is the only explanation I could think of.

Don't really think Ericsson has been as bad as last few years
