Yes. You can see anything anywhere at the Joe. The stadium has a genius design to it.

Is it? I don't really follow him -
Anywhere in the Joe is good. Literally. I prefer the side where Red Wing's shoot twice.

Niklas Kronwall pulled out of the World Cup today. Weird, maybe preserving that knee? Nvm he's injured again looks like. That sucks. -

LMFAO. Looks like the amazing Jim Nill, who all the Holland haters always praise, ended up signing Hudler. -

Giving back? He paid for this? I heard the Yekaterinburg hockey team team won 100 million rubles and decided to open this arena and name it after him. "Each year the winners of the All-Russian Night League Festival receive a grant for construction of an ice arena from the Ministry of Sport, which is presented by Russian President Vladimir Putin. The "Datsyuk Arena" was built from the grant won by the "Neoplan" team, which won the All-Russian Night League Festival." http://kuklaskorner.com/tmr/comments/if-youre-in-yekaterinburg-russia-on-friday It seems like Datsyuk is being honored by his home town. Reminds me of the whole "Gordie Howe Arena" pitch fans were trying to make in Detroit that never panned out.

Two months ago people were saying "Watch! Holland's going to sign Quincey and Hudler as fre agents!". Instead they signed, Nielsen and Vanek. Now it's "Holland will invite Quincey and Hudler to training camp!" And then when they aren't invited what's the next attempt? Pretending like Hudler and Quincey are on the roster even though they aren't? "Look they're on the roster, I'm telling you Holland signed them, they just haven't made an appearance yet, just wait" -
Ryspayev Should Be Banned.. Disgusting.

can they ban the refs for being incompetent too? at the very least they could bring them here so the NHL refs can teach them a thing or two on how to diffuse a situation. -

Was just driving by Joe Louis on the way to friends apartment and saw Larkin and some of the other players. Larkin looks more ripped, must have been working out for some gainz this summer Assuming that was him and not Harry Potter or something. -

Well according to that "source" CBJ are the ones "VERY" interested in Nyquist so if they're desperate. -
He was fine last year in the beginning too, he hit a wall around January though. It's about that longevity. The less he plays the longer he will last with those legs you saw yesterday.

Honestly though Zetterberg can't be put in the same pool as Kronwall, Miller, or Ericsson. Among all 35+ year olds he's still a top dog. I was reading someone that only 3 players scored more points than he did among all the older players in the league. Joe Thornton, Daniel and Henrik Sedin produced more than he did but I believe those 3 also get easier minutes than he does. I think if not for ice-time at the very least they should lessen the load on him. That starts with moving him to Wing (which they are doing so check that off), the second is reduce the 5 on 5 time on first and second period and maybe even increase the PP time and use him to close out leading games or something. He's still a very good PP specialist so use him there more often or something possible double shift the PP. With Datsyuk gone, it will suck not having an elite playmaker on the roster for the entire 2 minutes of the PP.
-
It's plain and simple. Stop playing Zetterberg 19 minutes a night and give him 14-15 minutes. The fact that he still logs more minutes than any forward not named Pavel Datsyuk shows that he's the primary "go-to" guy over the others. Larkin's 16 minutes per game should turn into Zetterberg's 19 minutes a game and vice versa this upcoming season. At this point in his career I think Larkin = Zetterberg. Zetterberg is the smarter player but Larkin just has the better legs. So if anyone is getting those 19 minutes, it should be Larkin imo. I mean I could be totally wrong and Zetterberg ends up scoring 20 goals and 80 points this upcoming year but based off the last two years it's time to reduce the time. Having said all that, players do need to earn their playing time. On my list I'd say Tatar, Nyquist, AA and Larkin all have earned more play time. I can't say the same for Jurco, Pulkinnen, Sheahan.

Trouba would be worth it and Barrie too if he was available. Fowler and Shattenkirk probably aren't. Not sure if I would give up AA though. Probably Mantha and Nyquist. But Barrie >>>> Trouba. Barrie could be a 1D here. Trouba I actually don't know what he would be. Regardless, it's a different comparison though, we're basically talking about swapping two high end prospects (Mantha for Trouba, although we would have to give another piece) which is still a better deal imo than Shattenkirk or any of the other older middle/bottom pair guys. -
This made me giggle because it may be true. His minutes will reduce if everyone else can elevate their game.

So you would trade prospects for middle pairing defenseman? There's no top 2 D-man in the league that's available for trade from what I'm seeing. Why stack up on middle pairing D-men? We already have a lot of those. And at one point, Cabrera was like the Ovechkin of baseball. Bad example. -

To be honest, I was more impressed with AA than Larkin in the 2nd half of the season. His movements are extremely fluid and he seems to think of what he's going to do way ahead of time. Almost all his goals this year were "right place at the right time" or using his speed to his advantage and letting D-man bite.
