    They are both good players but I think expectations were set too high. They are 20-25 goal scorers (or high 20s) but they won't be guys that will carry the team. Our 35 and 37 year old are still the ones who do that carrying job. Oh and Mrazek.

    It's easy to think highly of Toews in the playoffs when his team makes it far almost every year. If Dats made it to the finals every other year, he'd likely have good numbers as well. Toews is a good player but he's also a lucky player in arguably the best franchise in current day hockey as far as playoff success is concerned. I mean the addition of Panarin has been such an impact. They just rinse and repeat even as they lose players and gain new finds like Panarin.

    Datsyuk. But I get your point. I was never that high on Nyquist or Tatar. To be honest I knew they would be secondary guys. I think a lot of people expected too much from them. What annoys me is the fact that Blashill has to continue to rely on Datsyuk and Zetterberg (they play over 20 min a game lately) which is ridiculous for guys their age.
