I ain’t a *****. AA did better statistically than Joey Kocur. Kocur player in a higher scoring era, much like Franzen did so it looks worse on them. Look at that, somehow I magically compared two players probably deemed incomparable. Had to visual climbing Mount Everest, jerking to 1880’s portraits of fat men, and eating my own s*** to be able to do it, but somehow it worked and I was able to do it. Apparently if you try really hard it’s possible. AA - 1 Joey Kocur - 0 Wonder who would win in a fight between Kocur and AA. Oh wait impossible, Kocur knew how to fight, AA can only float. Cant compare the two. But then didn’t Muhammad Ali fight and float like a butterfly? No he just stung like a bee.

No, but forwards are comparable. Reminds me of when Krsmith didn't want to compare Brenden Smith to certain players and got s*** for it. Similar to how Franzen and AA being compared now might not favor a stance.

Yeah I agree. I would consider Larkin get a shorter bridge deal but with the way the salary cap is and the way deals have become, it's just not common anymore. But the upside to Larkin's situation is that at least he's going to be a hometown discount. Holland won't pay him 7 million or whatever ludicrous amount some other teams tend to pay their RFAs. We usually do good with our RFAs.

We don't have much to lose by signing him for 6 years at 5+ though. Our team sucks anyways and if he doesn't workout he moves on after 5 or 6 eyears and Zadina, Ras etc would be hitting age 22, 23. Rinse and repeat with the next set of youngsters. It's not like Larkin is signing a 12 year contract. It's likely a contract long enough to where if things don't pan out we move onto the next phase of players that will be in their primes by then. Those next set of players being Ras, Cholo, Zadina, Veleno and whoever our 2019 and 2020 draft picks will be (I presume we will still pick low both years).
