Blash knew the system, knew all the young players thru GR and knew all the vets thru his time as an assistant in 2012. You do realize that common sense would indicate towards hiring somone with that much experience with the system than without right? You've been complaining since our 3rd loss or so. If this was Babcock instead of Blash having this type season (WHICH HE HAS HAD) with us, not a peep out of you or anyone else. So easy to argue hindsight. That's what makes hindisght arguments worthless.

But thinking that firing Blashill will solve any issue is foolish. You fire blash and get another guy, it's the same thing. It's a new system and it's obviously an adjustment issue. If you fire him and get another guy, you're back to square 1 rather than 17 games in.

Yeah it could be coaching thing OR it's a player not taking the coach seriously thing. Or both. Something is definitely amiss. Guys are definitely trying to be a little too cute which may play into the fact that our shots on goal/ quality of shot attempts has suffered this year.

Your coach can make a difference matching up players. Krejci and Bergeron lines outplayed the hell out of us. There was nothing we could do. A coach has to make the call on countering that. I still like Blash, I'm just pointing out that he did get out couched the last two games. And our players were outplayed. That doesn't mean they can't learn from this and help the team moving forward.

We basically had the same team last year except for Larkin and Green and the first half of the season were one of the better teams in the league. Same guys just looking inferior. Their potential is much higher than this. I'd say it's a coaching thing and also a player thing.
