Is it even worth it to argue?I'm not even a huge Howard fan and I can admit that second goal was entirely the defenses fault. Subjective bias is uncrackable.
-
Green (i think?) screwed up his positioning bad
-
What a shift by the 37 and 35 year old.
-
Pav burst of speed looked goooood Ken And Mike doing what they can to justify Abbys contract. Saying Abby cud be future potential captain. He's got that slap shot though.. Ofcourse in the NHL defenders actually can block those.
-
Jimmy corner positioning is probably his biggest weakness
-
Meh I know what you're talking about. He's done it a few times in his career it's not what you're making it out to be. He's not "master" of it. It's not like Dustin Brown, Corey Perry, Ryan Kesler level of diving. If you're not selling a penalty as a hockey player then you're not doing it right. Tons for players do it. The annoying ones are those that make something out of nothing. Aka players diving like swans. That's what gets me.

#13 IS the superstition (lack of a better word for "bad luck"). Watch out San Jose

Fan boy-ing so hard right now. Welcome back #13 <3 edit- better link thru youtube, but recorded and posted today on Red Wings facebook page.

Datsyuk isn't 100% let alone even be able to play center. Word is he is playing on wing for now. Could be wrong.
-
I bet you he could.
-
I figured hah, double shift today unfortunately, loooong day. no no its. Shanahan > Holland > Nill > Yzerman Shanahan landed Babcock (while he was acting GM as president before Lou came). That was the deal of all deals. Holland couldn't even hang on to the greatest coach in all of hockey. Psh.
-
Not sure if you're being sarcastic or serious lol. Because it could be likely that Nill really had a say for the Z deal and I didn't know about that.
-
Z will end up scoring like 70+ points this year and his cap hit is only 6 million. Holland did well with that one. Same with the Datsyuk and Franzen deals. Althought Franzens deal would have looked great if he actually played
-
Awesome man! Bring us a win

loveee it!

-
Hahahah that's hilarious. And you know that's Datsyuk tweeting too rather than his agent because of the bad grammar.

I've been a season ticket holder for nearly 20 or so years in a row now. Lebda was terrible. But I'm sure if you were a Lebda fan you would have disagreed eh? I think you among others fail to be objective for those you cheer on for. And let's not get into limited viewpoints there. We've had plenty of those from you.
-
Now if he could only do it against guys he doesn't know well... say on the opposing team -__---
-
2 or 3 times a season? A joke. I'm an "overzealous Zetterberg (and Datsyuk) fan boy" (or whatever phrase Zombo joked about with you) and I can tell you that Z has at least 5 or so BAD games a year. Maybe more. Want me to be objective? Smith does decently well in the playoffs. How's that? Enough with the downplaying and excuses. Be objective. Smith sucks majority of the season and makes a ton of mistakes. More than our best D men do. Smith will be 33 and we'll still have excuses being made. Unless of course he's traded in a nice package and we get Big Buff here
-
Meh Holland has made some mistakes. A lot of them are hindsight to us. But it's not entirely Holland if you think about it. It's what this league is becoming. Locking up guys left and right. Used to be where you locked up your elite players. Now everyone seems to be getting locked up. To be honest though we dont overpay players as much as other teams have in the recent past. Just not a fan of super long term deals.
-
Now that's some good perspective. I agree with that one.
-
All in by scrapping with Pulk? How does that make sense tho?
-
I think he could score around 20ish for another few years if he's paired with Hank. He's just going thru a slump at the moment.
-
Hah are you kidding? You don't think there's a difference between making in-game errors once in a while and making in-game errors a lot + while on bench + attracting attention to media during live practice? Granted Pulk is at fault here too and in no way innocent. Overblown or not, you have to use your head when the media is watching you. Players represent the organization just as much as the coaches and managers/owners do. I'm involved in a line of work (and I'm sure a lot of people here might be in a similar situation) where I have to watch every word I say or a lawsuit would be filed against me. I use my head to make sure I don't say something idiotic. The same applies to players on camera or whatever the media is using to follow them. Just be smart about it or else you know that Ansar Khan's going to tweet about you. And yes I am aware that Pulk is the one who went after him but the second part of the tweet said both were restrained. So it applies to both guys. For the second point you made, you need to look at the story in the complete context rather than one game. For how many years has Smith made dumb mistakes? Same applies for Ericsson. These guys have been making so many mistakes and it's not just one or two games it's literally almost every other game and they're not getting any younger either. Hence why people criticize them. Now, I AM aware that some people in LGW have had immediate dislike for certain players (Franzen, Ericsson, Smith, Andersson) since the beginning. But that's not the same as assessing someone's play overtime and finally coming to the conclusion that "you probably are not a good fit to the team". I stand by my assessment of Smith. He's not too smart of a player in-game or hell.. even on the bench. After a plethora of mistakes you're going to get noticed. It's the reality. Dekeyser does more good things than bad. Can't really compare the two. I could turn this around and say "how many more years are people going to keep making excuses for Smith"? Works both ways man.
