And somehow equating the salaries to skill level?

One thing I never understood about Kindl and Smith and to a lesser extent E and Kronner in general is why they make those risky passes. Just unnecessary. Lidstrom played it safe more often than not. Either that or he was so good that he made risky passes look safe.

Basically is Yzerman and Fedorov comparison to be honest. I look at Z and Pav as the modern version of them. One is well past his prime works on sheer will and puts everything out there the other is just so skilled and goood even after his prime he can make your jaw drop. When Dats comes back I sort of want him with Z for a bit and have Larkin center 2nd line. See what happens with that. But I assume popular opinion would want Dats to center without Z on his line. Idk I'm back and forth. Just want him to play lol.
