Most of those lower bowl seats are corporate/company bought and a lot of people just don't end up going to them due to busy lives. The upper bowl is usually packed.

That's what having a son does to you. He's probably one of the happiest guys on the team right now. I don't think its Z vs Babcock thing. It's more of a "things going great in my personal life" situation

Problem with having too many 22 year olds is you turn into the Edmonton Oilers. Lack of experience and tons of losses. Veterans add more to the picture than just scoring. They bring leadership, motivation and experiences. It's good to have a balance of veterans and youngsters. Sometimes the younginzz need guys like Z, Kronner, D, Richards, Franzen to fall back on when they hit a bump on the road. Those guys have literally seen it ALL. Hockey is a mental sport just as much as it's a physical one. 82 games is really really tough.

Oh boy not sure if I could compare stamkos early years to ovie and crosby early years. Those two were hitting 100 point seasons year in and year out.Stamkos is up there though.

So we should get rid of zetterberg, datsyuk, and kronwall since they're on a decline!

I think he will stay for a "pay cut" (whatever that is) due to this being his hometown. Also random fact, his long time gf is actually from the area i grew up. So if that helps his decision. Hah. Too many roots and hometown connections for the guy. Moreso than anyone on this team. If i were holland I'd start the talks asap.

It might have been Weiss actually. I get your point. But i think Franzen will do just as well as Weiss maybe even better? I liked that Z and D split very much actually. They were dominating the powerplays last year.

I thought they split Datsyuk and Zetterberg on the powerplay last year? Im pretty sure Datsyuk was with Tatar, Sheahan and maybe helm? I forgot which defender was with them maybe Dekeyser

The Zetterberg/Nyquist/Abdelkader/Kronwall unit was one of the best in the league last year. I can see why they don't want to change that.

Understandable. I am excited too. But they have to do what they think is best for their organization. No matter how mich we "like" certain players, and how much we may "dislike" a player. Blashill could careless about that!

I think Jurco will end up getting packaged in a trade

Not sure. Jurco was given opportunities in the preseason and he didn't do well. The result is that he scratched. With Pulkinens two goals he's likely to stay in line up for a while. And no one else on the roster will lose a spot to Jurco. Especially with Helm coming back soon. Jurco isn't in the best situation right now imo

Should Blashil keep Helm a healthy scratch when he returns?
