I think with Larkin it's not only his play style but also his maturity that's impressing the management. A good attitude and leadership goes a long way. For a teenager he is very very mature. They probably feel he can handle the pressure.

What if Larkin stays entire season on the roster and wins rookie of the year. Goals. I want to see how he plays with Z and Abby. I have a good feeling about it. Catiously optimistic. ---- Think about this folks.. Our top prospect and potential future captain is on the starting line with elite player and CURRENT captain and possible future hall of famer. The story is really epic the more i think about it.

Watching him play in the preseason games I realized he was much closer to being ready than previously assumed. Not sure.. I'm a bit confused at this point. The Babcock/Holland in me tells me its too early if he stayed up here long term. The excited fan guy in me tells me its not. But I'm easily convinced so I guess we will see. I think a fair assessment can only be made after he plays a few regular season games. If he shines.. Then I guess you can't really argue if he should be sent down.. The problem with Jurco situation was he played 4th line.. If Larkin is playing first line with Zetterberg, I honestly can't imagine a better way to groom up a player for the NHL

Yeah. I agree with what you're saying in terms of old time hockey. Trust me I'm a huge fan of old time hits and fights. But with Torres, the issue I have is his inability to comprehend the rules and regulations. You've gotten penalized before for something that's no longer allowed yet ya do it again, and again and again. The head shot rule was placed due to the evidence of pro sports players suffering TBI/concussions with terrible prognosis post retirement. What does he not get about that? Torres can fight 40 fights a season, can make 120 hits a season as long as it's not to the head imo, and I'll be cool with it.

Honestly wonder what's going thru the guys head. 41 games is significant. Are you allowed to practice with the team while suspended?

Won't be surprised if he does end up being put with Zetterberg when it comes to game day. A lot of our roster has been groomed under Hank. Hudler, Filpula and now Nyquist to name a few. I think the combination should workout fine and be in Larkin's favor as far as his development is concerned. I just hope he plays center.

He very well could be. Imagine a face of the franchise being from michigan.. We've never had that. Howe, Lindsay, Yzerman, Eurotwins are all non-michiganders.

Question of all questions is whether he will center or Z will center. Personally I prefer Z on wing so yea.
