I thought Z was exerting himself quite a bit while skating. I think he just has to work much harder to keep up with the speed. But this isn't necessarily a bad thing because he still has the ability to "work harder". Some NHL players lose even that motivation/ ability >.> Hopefully this won't be an issue when Datsyuk returns and Z slides into wing position and play at his maximum potential without having to carry the load. And people need to get it through their heads that Zetterberg has ALWAYS been a below average skater in terms of speed. Even when he was 23 years old. He has very short strides when he skates - which is usually not the skating style preferred in terms of speed. Watch for it next time, it's an obvious characteristic of his.
