There is no jet lag if you travel 2 or fewer time zones east or 3 or fewer time zones west. So returning flights from west coast back to Detroit poses a problem on our players especially when there's an immediate home game coming back.

Jet lag is jet lag. Change in elevation also affect oxygen perfusion to tissues. Private planes or not, you can't circumvent physiology of the body. It's still affected once the plane has taken flight.

Wow aside from the powerplay, the team really does play better without him it looks like. 2.88 goals per game with Franzen. 3.05 without him. 2.45 goals against with him and 2.21 without him. Those aren't very promising stats. But then again. Didn't the team also have better stats WITHOUT Datsyuk in the 2013/2014 season? Atl east I think that was the case for a good period of time when he wasn't playing. So I'm not sure if these stats are truly reflective.

I believe Cleary still wants to keep playing hockey.

Meh I'm all for loyalty and I respect that the Red Wings show it, but our situation is a bit tight; especially if Franzen stays on roster. Cleary is no longer an asset to our season/playoff run. I say keep him in front office or let him walk and see if he gets a signing elsewhere. I have no issue with Cleary, but as a fan I'd like to see us do what we can do bring home the cup. Not entirely sure if Cleary fits into that equation.

Franzen is healthy already? I don't think so. Probably making good progress this summer I presume. Contact practice + training camp appearance till I can believe he's back. Till then I still wonder what they will do about his situation.
