  1. Cabrerra wearing a Hank jersey? Frickin epic
  2. F**K YES THANK YOU GOOSE. I told ya'll that Z is doing just fine and setting them up. ATTA BOY GOOSE!
  3. Stamkos must be whispering sweet nothings in these refs ears.
  4. Someone's got to take advantage of Bishops puck playing, kinda like when steve yzerman got int front of the st louis goalie in 2002 who was trying to make a play and it went in the net. Bishop kinda waits long before he makes a pass, cud screw him over if they push him hard.
  5. You cant look at one shift and judge someones game. Z is doing fine and doing better then game 1 and 2. Upward progression is better than downward. Nyquist is stangnant and already showing decline in first period. He has done terrible almost 3 or 4 of his shifts and misqued on 3 passes, on the damn powerplay too. He's got to stop thinking too much into and it go back to basics and it will allow him to score. Teams got to work together if they want to win. take responsibility for misques and come firing next peroid. Stamkos looks hungry cant let him take advantage.
  6. Z speed looks better. Helm looked really good as well. Smith's gotta keep his head up, they're out there for him.
  7. No , Hank is definitely setting them up, goose is not following up
  8. Give Zetterberg another winger. He's set up 3 plays and 1 one timer and nyquist is failing
  9. Zetterberg doing well but nyquist making him worse
  10. YAY SMITH DOING SMITH THINGS AND GETS A PENALTY!!!
  11. Cmon Z don't let ur playoff beard title be taken away from you, i see Quincey's got a bigger beard than you right now. I want to see goals from Tats, Nyquist and Smith tonight!
  12. Stamkos is going to shoot that puck like crazy, gotta block those shots and get in the lane and take away the space and make them commit!

Is Joe Louis Arena a tough place to play?

Actually I think you are correct. I have a few friends at GM who could get plenty of free tickets thru company and just don't end up going. It always does seem like the upper bowl is packed and lower bowl upper half is but the first few row seats are empty (company seats probably). It always select seats that seem to be empty to be quiet honest.

    Red Wings New Arena Process

I live a block or so away and did not notice any construction. It may not be anything noticeable.
  15. Aye, and having a Howard/Mrazek combo is pretty lucky imo. Howard may not have had a good 2nd half season but he's still a great goalie at times and I wouldnt mind us using Howard when he's on his hot streaks. Could easily split the season 40 - 40 games between these two guys. The only thing is how Howard deals with this. I never particularly understood the meaning of "lucky bounces" in this sport. I've played a lot of hockey and still do and I've always felt like "tip-ins" and "bounces" are a natural thing and part of a the game. The sport is played very tight and physically, these things are bound to happen. I think when players and coaches make these statements, it's moreso for the sake of the interview. "We played well, but he just had a lucky bounce". What else would you tell the media? "We were the inferior team that got shutout 3-0"? Datsyuk did exactly what was going to lead to the goal, he crashed the net to get a feed or to screen the goalie OR to get a tip. The tip is what happened. Just a part of the strategy in the game. Not a matter or luck.

Is Joe Louis Arena a tough place to play?

It's one of the largest stadiums in the league, , that;s definitely expected. It still has an overall higher turn up than most of the league stadiums. I think it ranked third in tickets sold. (could be wrong). It will be jam packed if we made a deep push in playoffs.
  17. He played solid and played up to his position - 3rd line D man. Good for him, now gotta take this to the next game.

    Datsyuk Finalist for Lady Byng

Tough choice. But I do think there are quiet a few players in the running that deserve it over him this year at least. Wouldn't mind if Kopitar got it. Kind of sick of Bergeron always being in the running for it.
  19. Red Wings played big today, they used their body when needed. Some of the penalties against them was ridiculous but regardless of that what we saw today was potential. Tampa got ran over physically and the credit goes to each Wings player. I say play the same style of grit game 4 and maintain the smooth flow and setups (take more shots tho). I thought the powerplay looked strong. The powerplay is definitely something we have an advantage of and I think can capitalize well on in the coming game. I think it was a smart decision this year to split D and Z on powerplay, both units are very good. Things I think that can clutch this series for us: 1. Mrazek 2. Man defense/grit 3. Pass, pass shoot. (not pas pas pass pass) 4. Effort from each player like it's do or die. (what we saw today). 5. Faceoffs. Defensive zone ones especially. Helps out our already weak defense and prevents them from making errors they are prone to. 6. The fans.
  20. Wow Red Wings had 48 games in the game?! I'm telling you that was a great job shutting tampa down. Clean legitimate hits go a long way.
  21. Despite some comments I saw here , I thought Zetterberg had a pretty good game. The fans around me at the Joe cheered him on well, no disappointments. He was making plays (unfortunately Nyquist didn't do a good job of following up with them at times), he did a good job back checking and contained their opposing line. We definitely want him scoring but he did much better than the first two games in my opinion. He was also excellent on the faceoffs tonight. Could we ask for more? Yes obviously. But today he did better than the first two and I'm not complaining. I was sitting behind (a bit diagonal) to the bench and I must say Z was pretty gassed after every shift. I think he's very fatigued in this point of the season. I think hes physically just worn out but hanging in mentally. LGRW!

Is Joe Louis Arena a tough place to play?

Leaving the game now, after chanting "Lets go red wings" "f**k you Tampa" "f**k u bishop", booing the refs a hundred times (even after second when refs were the first to come on before the players), chanting "Abby Abby Abby" after scrum, booing Tampa players. I'd like to say the JLA is MOST definitely one of the toughest places to play. The fans completely went nuts!

Smith in. Marchenko out for Game 3

Yet he sure does seem to make decisions based off of that, ever since 2013 when Lidstrom retired. So your hope is unfortunately shattered. The list of random things Babcocks done in the last two years is endless. From starting an AHL roster in the playoffs, to putting Glendening on the first line with Pav. What's more is he's seemed to pull it off. Crazy decisions have the possibility of being smart decisions. They aren't mutually exclusive. I don't like Smith's play. But like I've said, to put him on with Kronwall isnt blasphemous. Kronwall isn't a Lidstrom and the Red Wings don't have any legitimate defensemen that I'd want on my lineup. They're all average or below average.
  24. Ah so it will be Stamkos vs. Zetterberg? I'm pumped for this. Z's got to bring his A game and shut that mofo down and reclaim his title as NHL playoff beast (beard). I'll be at the game chanting: LETS GO RED WINGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LETS GO RED WINGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LETS GO RED WINGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LETS GO RED WINGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
