So did Filpula in 2009. And Z in 2007 (although I don't think he broke it, but he missed some significant amount of games and it was an ongoing thing for almost 2 years). Came back to score 92 points the following season lol. Anisimov had surgery back in may 2016, came back to have a better PPG the following season. Crosby has a f***ed up wrist since 2014, needed surgery but avoided it (probably will end up needing it in a year or two). Last I checked he's still one the best.

Lefty is forgetting that Rasmussen isn't 50 something years old like him and is 18 years old and will recover from the surgery 100% and pretty quickly too. Don't underestimate teenagers, their bodies have bigger balls than all of us here. Same goes for 20 something year olds.

He could be, but he has to be good defensively in order to be on the PK. Shanahan was and so was Franzen. People just don't talk about it much because Shanahan was more known for his 656 goals and Franzen was known to score all those goals in the playoffs.

Shanahan was used on the PK quite often. Had the most short handed goals in the 02 season actually. Another power-forward ish guy on the PK was Johan Franzen. Though not often because D and Z were more than enough to work with Draper and Maltby. But Franzen was a natural center so it made sence to use him on pk once in a while. Shanny was put on PK because Bowman did whatever he wanted to do. Just ask 65 goal scoring turned into Selke trophy winner Steve Yzerman. But Mantha is no Shanahan, he’s no center, he’s no Zetterberg, nor is he Datsyuk. He’s good, but he’s not that level, and might never be. Shanny is a hall of famer. He was more than just elite. He could do whatever he wanted if he really wanted. He just preferred cherry picking Federov’s passes and scoring goals.

Height is honestly the dumbest argument I hear about. It really has no advantage in hockey unless you're 6'5 or something ridiculous. I see no difference between a guy who is 5'11 and 6'1. I think of height as ranges. 5'10 and below, 5'11 - 6'2 is likely where most people fall and 6'3 and above is ridiculously tall. You can be 5'11 and weigh 210 pounds. But you could be 6'1 and weigh 160 pounds and get swatted like a fly. Side note, I bet it's probably riskier to hit shorter guys now since the league has banned headshots. I'd rather be playing against taller guys where I can get a clean body shot in. If Tyler Johnson was coming down ice, I'd think twice before trying to hit the guy. Last think you want his touching his head and getting a stupid suspension.

Do I think Larkin is a good PKer? Yes. Does it look like he needs more help? Yes. Would AA be the right man for the job? He could be. Does that mean Mantha could help out too? No. So what can Mantha do then? Spend more time with his gf. Would she appreciate that? Yes. Would I spend time with Mantha’s gf? Yes. His gf gave me some statistics that Zetterberg’s son Love is top 5 from MULTIPLE sources for 2033 draft. Now does this mean we should draft him? Yes. How would @Euro_Twins feel about that? Good. Why? Because he wants the son of Zetterberg and the son of Datsyuk to play together and be drafted as the new Euro Twins. Does that mean it’s going to happen? No. Does @kliq want this to happen? Yes. The difference is you said he was a top 5 player on most sources but in reality he was nowhere close. That's the difference. It's not a matter of opinion, you just gave us some wrong facts and people can't take you seriously when you do that. It prevents actual discussion because we feel as though we're talking to a wall and it turns people off. It would be one thing if you said "I think he's going to be a top 5 prospect" but you basically said he's being listed by that by multiple sources, which is not true at all. So none of them are below #13 though? So you need to again correct your range from "5-13" to "13 and above". Which means he's not top 10. First you said he's top 5 on "most sites" then you said he's between 5 and 13 on most sites and now when you're giving us sources NONE of them are between 5 and 13. Don't count the bulls*** London Knights from 3 years ago btw lol. You see why people calling you a liar? You NEVER fact check yourself, you overrexagerrate and you almost always end up being incorrect when you do go fact check.
