I honestly don't think I'm going to watch next game unless some change is made. Mrazek is off. Yes the Wings are playing s***, but he has literally stolen nothing lately, and even went so far as to opening his five hole for a puck that otherwise wouldn't have gone in. Put Howard in, do something with the ******* lines (need to do something with Sheahan, he's doing nothing). If nothing changes I'm going to at least need a break from these games. Obviously I could never boycott the wings entirely.

I can't be the only one who's worried about Kronwall's returning being a detriment. I love Kronner, but I don't think him at 70% (or whatever he's at, but I highly doubt it's 100) is good enough right now.

Lmao that OT was hilariously pathetic. Good work by Larkin to create space, unfortunately Helm is apparently a choker. Put it on net you moron. Mrazek unsurprisingly had another Jekyll and Hyde game. Overplays the 1st goal pretty badly, and I'm honestly not even sure how the OT winner goes by him. That 3rd goal was obviously goaltender interference though, and is reminiscent of god awful calls that I thought we'd put behind us. There's always a couple of games a year that makes my faith in the team take a very big hit, and I'm normally pretty optimistic. This was one of those games.

Yea that's about my understanding too. I was just wondering why the Wings didn't just reclaim Pulks when Minnesota waived him. As someone else said though, maybe Pulks requested not to come back or something.

This is weird to me. I was one of the first to criticize this line when I first saw Ott on it and how they played. Lately though, I thought they looked pretty good. I had no idea the numbers were so against them.

So we can send him straight to GR now? Why didn't we do the same with Pulkinnen when he was waived? This is a legit question, as this is a fuzzy area for me regarding the waiver rules.

At this point I'm thinking Sheahan. I like him, but I think swapping him for Abdelkader will have the least impact on the team at the moment, which is important considering how they're playing.

They just look more... relaxed, and like a totally different team because of it.

Why are people so shocked Howard is playing well? When he's not injuring himself he's generally an all star caliber goalie. I know he's pretty frustrating at times, but this isn't unusual. Didn't he basically pick up Mrazek's slack when Mrazek fell off last year?

I'm with you up until the Sheahan part. He may not throw a lot of hits, but he always looks like one of our heavier players on the puck, in my opinion. He's good at establishing body position to keep control. I still don't think he should see the top six though.

Ouellet is out? He's looked like one of our best defensemen lately. Obviously I would sooner take Ericsson out, but I'd also take Marchenko out over Ouellet at this point not a knock against Marchenko, ouellet has just looked good, and very poised.

Jimmy Howard and the special teams are difference makers right now.

I was really against that Helm contract, but so far this year he's been making me eat my words. I think he's played well each game, looks like a different guy.

PP looks like a legit threat for the first time in years, and I think Vanek is a big reason. He's been a bright spot for me so far.

Not really any positives to take from tonight. The Wings look like they have no structure at all, it makes me question the coaching. Combine that with the fact that Blashill still thinks Ericsson is an NHL defenseman and I really start to lose faith.

Why is Abdelkader on the fourth? I think he's shown to be a capable top sixer. I would put Sheahan on the fourth, I don't think he belongs in the top six yet and he would make the fourth line much better. Also at this point I'd keep Ott in over Miller. Miller to me looked the most out of place on the ice. Ericsson doesn't look like an NHL defenseman to me right now. His slow skating really showed last game with how often he was beat on the outside.

And while I may seem frustrated, I actually think there were a lot of positives to take away from this game. I'm still cautiously optimistic about the year.

I'm with you here. He did make some strong saves, as we know he can, but the fact of the matter is a lot went in; including that God awful sharp angle shot.
