Scratch that, only threatening line. He had a nice move in the preseason in the shootout. Other than that I'm sure they see him in practice and know he's got good hands or something. I would've taken Tatar over Nyquist though, I think he's more dynamic in the shootout.Edit: irrelevant though if Jimmy can't stop even one (though he was great throughout the game).

Cleary I agree with, however Weiss needs to be given some looks considering how much we're paying him for and for how long. Even if it's just to try to give him some trade value. I personally think he's a good player though and could help the lineup once he gets his feet under him and some confidence.

Wasn't Dekeyser's first pass highly touted? I thought that was one of the big pros with him. Not arguing for or against your other points, just curious if I'm remembering wrong. I'll wait and see how Smith does with whoever he's paired with. I'd like to think that he'll take the next step and play well wherever now. If not though I did really like him paired with Kronwall, thought they played great together.

I agree to an extent about the baseball challenge. I can't stand the slow walk/delay to get the thumbs up, and I hope they manage to remedy it and speed things up. I do like them getting the calls right though. Nothing used to make me more angry than a blown call (even though I know it's a hard job and nobody is perfect). So while the current situation isn't perfect I'd rather see it remedied than done away with and would like to see something similar in the NHL.

Him and Parise were tied with most shootout goals career going into last year I believe. He doesn't hold that title anymore though. Toews definitely has a higher percentage, I believe it's 50 whereas Dats is like 43 or something.

Totally agree, book was fantastic, movie was terrible. All the Tusken Raiders jokes had me cracking up though, which seems to suit a Vegas team we'll all be laughing at.

Most complete player. I feel like I've heard it said he's the most rounded player for a few years now. Whether that translates into being "better" than Malkin and Crosby and their offensive numbers is obviously debatable. Toews is a better two way player than them. Is that even in question? I don't recall Malkin and Crosby being highly regarded for their defensive game. Or have I been under a rock too long?On topic though I don't have the freshest memories of Fedorov. I was pretty young. I think Datsyuk gets in the hall of fame though.
