Trade Legwand to Detroit for Eaves, Jarnkrok + cond 3rd/2nd
Wheelchairsuperhero replied to gcom007's topic in General
God I hope so. -
What actually has me angry at the moment is seeing Franzen's beast mode go to waste. Dude is legit with that A on his chest but our top pairing s*** the bed. And what's with Jimmy and flopping about after horrible rebounds? That's the only goal I totally blame on him but I feel like he does that crap a lot. Just get up dude.

Trade deadline fast approaching - who should we target?

No need for me to post my opinion now because you just did. I appreciate that. 100% agree. -
Trial date set in Steve Moore’s lawsuit against Todd Bertuzzi

Well no wonder the lockout lasted so long. Next time we know that the real life version of Steve Austin needs to be hired to Stone Cold stunner him into defeat. -

GDT 2/26 GDT - Red Wings 2 at Canadiens 1 (OT)
Wheelchairsuperhero replied to MabusIncarnate's topic in General
Good win, I'll take it. On a negative note the first line looked horrible. Need someone out there who can actually skate, not one guy coming off injury, another who's a million years old, and the last one injured. Nyquist should've been there the whole time. And also how many times can the Canadiens get away with holding sticks? Jeez. Lots of 5 on 5 though so I enjoy that. P.s. Love that Nyquist guy, deserved that goal for sure. And watching that post game interview seems like a classy guy. -
Legit question here. Is it a known fact that he thinks he may not be healthy enough? I was thinking maybe he actually does want to play and thinks he's healthy enough but the team is recommending he doesn't until he's 100% (which given our playoff situation doesn't seem like a good idea). But like I said I dunno, could be totally wrong.

It's this that annoys people. The way you describe some of us would have been had we won is how you are, and I know I don't appreciate being lumped into your category with no basis. Anyway, gloating is fine, being an ass about it isn't.
-
I think it's the fact that you keep generalizing and saying things like "most of you" when I'm pretty sure very few, if any, around here viewed Canada as "inferior". Then you follow up by assuming all of us would've been petty and worse had we won. You're being extremely condescending. Edit: and the general tone of the thread was calm and appreciative of a good hockey game before you started posting. Lol

Totally agree. I do hope Datsyuk is healthy though and shows that he can put the team on his back too.
-
I'm not sure how losing 1 - 0 to the best team (on paper) is a disappointing showing. One different bounce in 1st and the game could've been entirely different. Either way good game and I think Canada deserved the win.
-
Good game, really enjoyed watching. At least the Swedes made the gold medal game so I can at least cheer for a Wings win
-
I obviously wish the US had won, but I was about as upset as I was when I caught the two man bobsledding team not win gold. Which is to say not really upset at all. Now if the US loses to Canada tomorrow you may find that I've thrown a temper tantrum and destroyed my living room.
-
that is terrible and makes me happy I wasn't emotionally invested, but it's irrelevant to the officiating.
-
constructive post, I'm torn on the inside that you don't believe me.
-
uh no, I was offering an opinion on the two pens I happened to catch, (well 3, I saw the Canadian one too). Edit: you're welcome

I don't really watch Woman's hockey but I happened to turn this on partway through overtime. That victory isn't much to be proud of, those were two garbage calls that gifted Canada the gold. Don't care how the rest of the game went. Edit: sorry if that came off like I was angry and confrontational lol. I'm not. I don't care so much about the woman's hockey tourney.

Official 2014 Olympic Hockey Thread (Admin warning #316)
Wheelchairsuperhero replied to MabusIncarnate's topic in General
I'm actually loving it. Seeing all the divided national pride on here and knowing when the Olympics are done we all go back to being Wings fans. As long as things aren't vicious and overly insulting I think the back and forth is good fun. Oh and go USA! -
First off I'm amazed at just how common back problems seem to be in adult men. My Dad has had slipped disc problems also and just in the past year I've developed some back issues (mild to this point, comparatively speaking). Not to mention the posters on here also suffering with these problems. Anyway I've got a ton of respect for Zetterberg at this point. Trying to lead this team and put it on his back to fight for a playoff spot, then going over to Captain his country's team in the Olympics, and overall being a classy dude. Regardless of his future here (which hopefully we get him for years to come still) having Hank as a Captain makes me proud to be a wings fan.

I still think he could be pretty good, but in all honesty don't think he has the composure to thrive on the pp either. I'm not saying he's worse than our current choices, I just don't think people would be "high" on him if he was on the pp. He just looks rattled all the time .
-
They couldn't postpone the team photo shoot until their Captain could participate? Jeez. Injury aside I also feel bad Z couldn't even be in the team picture the year he's Cap'n.

This. It's insane how many tap ins we manage to screw up, and it always comes back to bite us. -

Wheelchairsuperhero replied to Hockeytown0001's topic in General
I was in the middle of thinking "I like our team" for real and then that 2 - 2 tying goal went in. So I apologize to everyone for getting excited for a second, I should've known we'd lose when I did that. -
Marfan's syndrome?
