He's being paid still. There are several professions where some charges get you suspended with pay pending the investigation. -

I've only had an issue with one mod who went overboard deleting posts. I pmed him and it let up. Hfboards are far worse. Redwingscentral has no mods so if that's your thing check it out.

Too much stuff going on in Miami. Heat draw band wagon fans, but other than football which has a limited number of games people have better things to spend money on.

Truth is Glendening has a very limited skill set that limits him to being a guy who can skate around and piss people off. He's not really that great positionally in his own end, his hands make Abdelkader look like a 50 goal guy, and most nights he wins less than half his faceoffs. Most guys who make it to the NHL are gym rats and work their asses off to get there and stay there, Glendening isn't anything special there. -
That's what happens when you rush a kid. I don't know why people want the Wings to trade for a young defenseman. I'm all for moving Kindl, but they have Ouellet, Jensen, Marchenko, Sproul, and Backman already.

Glendening had a very good game. The first game, not so much. He's probably closer to the player he showed in the first game though and really isn't one of the 12 best forwards. -

Babcock is a good coach but he gets stubborn and tries to prove that he's the smartest guy in the room at times. Insisting on Glendening as the 4th center and Abdelkader on a top line , for example. It's probably time for him to move on. -
Kindl's issue has always been inconsistency, not talent. At his age I don't see him fixing it.

it would save $925k against the cap, and give them a pissed off player who is signed for 3 more years. Babcock just needs to bite the bullet and do what it takes to get him going. -
They won't leave him hanging for his bonus money. He'll be on the active roster until he gets his 10 games in, then hopefully he "hurts" something and sits on LTIR the rest of the season.

Nestrasil is probably in if Datsyuk can't go, or they think he won't clear waivers right now. They still need to put Datsyuk on IR or waive two more guys regardless -

They'll carry 14 forwards. With Datsyuk on IR there's an open spot for Nestrasil. Zetterberg Franzen Nyquist Tatar Sheahan Jurco Helm Weiss Miller Glendening Abdelkader Cleary Andersson Nestrasil until Datsyuk is ready. -

Callahan won't get claimed. He had one fluke season where a bunch of pucks went in for him in the AHL. He's not a scorer, he's not fast, he's not big, he's a projected 4th line agitator. He also didn't look at all like an NHL player in the preseason. Neither did Ferraro. -
Boychuk is decent but stop acting like Suter got moved. He would have helped Detroit, but Boston might have preferred trading him to a lesser team, or thought the Isles picks would be better. Besides, if Smith and Dekeyser improve again this year the top 4 will be set and there's no room long term.
