Jensen is a third pair guy at best who rode a hot streak to a role he wasn't good at. Sent from my LGLS676 using Tapatalk

Howard doesn't want to move, he lists the teams that need a goalie as his won't go there teams. Pretty big obstacle. Sent from my LGLS676 using Tapatalk Mrazek's problem is mental. Sent from my LGLS676 using Tapatalk

They have the advantage of being the only one. They get the 30 best available, not 30 of the 60 Sent from my LGLS676 using Tapatalk

No. The guys he said are untouchable are the only ones I'd consider Sent from my LGLS676 using Tapatalk

I've had a soft spot for the Sens since they were the Griffin's parent club. Sent from my LGLS676 using Tapatalk

What's his role? Does he get PP time? Is he the shut down guy and is asked to sacrifice offense for defense? What are the other d on the team putting up point wise? You can't just look at raw numbers without context Sent from my LGLS676 using Tapatalk

I doubt that the Preds would be any worse if they still had Weber instead of Subban.

which Benoit? Andre? He's from Canada. Karlsson played a grand total of 24 AHL games. Niemi played 38 games. Zuccarello split 2 seasons between the AHL and NHL. These guys don't come over to play in the AHL.
-
As long as they take a defenseman (first choice) or a center at 9, then try to stock their D with their second and third rounders, I'll be ok. Unless they make a huge reach for a guy projected to go in the 15-20 range or trade down 10 spots.

46 points isn't that bad. Still not sure I'd want him at 9 though. Like RWN said, seems like he could be a McIlrath type
-
Yeah, Nosek is the exception. I think it was Tatar a couple years ago who explained that a lot of European players who have never been here think that the AHL is some kind of joke league, crap straight out of Slapshot, and being sent down is some kind of humiliation. Edsjell might be another exception, but I don't see why. Worst case he spends one year in Sweden them comes over. Or maybe he signs a deal where if he doesn't make an NHL team he goes home instead of the A. Sent from my LGLS676 using Tapatalk

If they won't want him in two years of playing in Sweden they won't want him after two years of the AHL. Teams always want talent. Sent from my LGLS676 using Tapatalk

Those guys were signed to AHL deals, not a 2-way NHL contract. Different stories. And why would not coming over here now block him from coming later? Play a year or two in the top league in Sweden and then come over to an NHL deal. I know what I'd do.
-
Grand Rapids for a year or two or Sweden for more money and staying in his home country. Tough call.

Huh. I thought he was a winter. Them by all means, draft the young man. Watching leftwinger melt down would be hilarious. Sent from my LGLS676 using Tapatalk

A lot of guys taken in the 8-10 range need a couple years to develop. A kid who jumps right to the NHL there is the exception, not the norm. I wouldn't be thrilled with him at 9 either, but because the need is at center and defense, not wing. Unless all the high rated players at those spots are already taken and the highest rated players are all wings, they need to focus on need. Sent from my LGLS676 using Tapatalk

What do you call an employee entrance at a brothel?

If he could come over and make an NHL team, I think he might do it. But if he's not good enough, or if he'd just be a bit player, most guys would rather be a top end player at home than a 3rd liner in the NHL. That's pretty much across the board for Europeans, which is why you don't see many Miller/Glendening level Russians or Swedes or whatever. I don't really blame them, either.
