Are people really upset Larkin isn't a finalist? He's not one of the three best rookies. Period.

Alexander Radulov: Wings on short-list of desired teams
DickieDunn replied to TheDetroitRedWings's topic in General
Radulov will teach the kids to snort lines of coke off strippers' asses. Or the other vets teach them the right way and they all think Radulov is a moron. But you know, they'll automatically follow the new guy instead of the guys who have been around forever. -
The public is funding the infrastructure, retail, parking, apartments, etc.

1) the Skankees also charge more than an average mortgage to take your family to a game. They don't need the revenue. 2) Corporate naming rights are the norm, and it could have been worse. 3) It doesn't matter what they call it, if the team is good it will be packed, of the team sucks it will be empty.

Tangradi is not an NHL player.7 year deals for role players are moronic. Callahan is not an NHL player Okposo is going to get more cash than that -

Another? Who do they have now? -
What I expected

Lapses are one thing, being a liability is something else. And when he wasn't scoring on top of that, he shouldn't be playing
-
2 goals in 10 games, both on the PP, with several defensive lapses to the point where he was a liability in his own end means he was not a good player.

Let him go, just like he let Lapointe go when the Bruins tossed money at him and like he should have done when Abdelkader demanded that contract. -
My point being, AHL dominence doesn't always mean a player is a good NHL player. Mantha was not good.

He's a checking line player. Checking line players shouldn't get that much money, regardless of what they want or howuch of a raise it would be. It's still a hell of a lot more than he'd be making back in Canada working a 9 to 5 gig or working a farm. -
And Pulk destroyed AHL goalies. I think Mantha will be about as good as Nyquist, but he's not there yet. He wasnt ich more than a PP specialist. Had Trashill used his players better, they could have had a better chance without Mantha.

Larkin, AA, Sheahan, Glendening. Those are the 4 centers. If Helm comes cheap and short term, fine. If he wants a long deal or more than $2.5, he can get overpaid somewhere else. But given Abdelkader getting the panic please don't leave contract, ibsee 7 years at North if $3.5 per, front loaded so there's a recapture penalty and with a modified ntc. -
No, McDavid and Eichel are as close to sure things as you can find. I expect Larkin to be good, but he wouldn't be the first kid to start strong and end up as a second line player. That's why he isn't completely off the table in trade talks if the GM is smart. They need one top end defenseman for sure, likely a top end forward. Sine the defenseman is probably going to be harder to find, if moving Larkin brings one, do it, depending on what else moves both ways.

Ownership shows Support for Kenny Holland
DickieDunn replied to HockeytownRules19's topic in General
Trouba might be available. The Jets have 3 defensemen with a nmc, they'll either have to expose Trouba or only protect 4 forwards as it stands now, assuming the PA gets their way and players with a nmc have to be protected. Unless they make a deal with the expansion team(s) they'd lose someone they really don't want to lose. Trading Trouba or convincing one of the others to waive their clause is their best option. -
They only get negative when there's blood in the water. They've spent years acting like Holland's every word was gospel. They did the same with Babcock, never question him until it looked like he was on his way out, then all of a sudden he's not The Best Coach EVER anymore

Alexander Radulov: Wings on short-list of desired teams

On a one year relatively cheap deal I think it's a good idea, providing people are moved in a trade first.
