The entire team underperformed, the PP and PK were bad, and he over relied on the old guys instead of letting the kids he was filiar with AMD won at GR with play.

Don't bring back any of the ufa players Don't sign anyone over the age of 30 to more than 3 years, and nobody over the age of 33 at all Upgrade the D and get a physical top 6 forward. Trade Tatar or Nyquist plus whoever else it takes. -

With Smith, there are lies, damned lies, and stats. He's been better, but his brain farts still at best balance his offensive ability, and for an offensive defenseman, he doesnt score much. Better than garbage doesn't mean good.

Sharp and Zetterberg is an apples to oranges comparison. Beyond what theyean to the team, Sharp doesn't have a big recapture penalty if he retires early, and if the Wings traded Zetterberg, why would he do them a favor by playing the LTIR game when he decides to hang them up?

This team has too much talent to be this bad on the PP and PK. Blashcock needs to make major changes on how he runs the team or be gone, and they need to replace their assistant.

Stamkos is the only real stud. Backes would be OK on a 2 or 3 year deal, but he'll probably get 5+. Staal on a short term deal, maybe, but he's slipped. There are a few others I'd like for the right contract, but they'll probably get too much money and term. I see Holland giving Helm 5+ years, signing Quincey, not trading anyone and when players get lost to waivers he mumblede about depth and a numbers game.

If he signs a one year deal he still won't get an offer sheet. If he goes to arbitration, he can't get an offer sheet even if a team was desperate enough to try, which they wouldn't be.
