Its not the type of player he is that's the problem,its that he's on the flyers roster(even though he's on ltir in lieu of retiring to save the cap hit)Its a conflict of interest. If the flyers make it to the playoffs he could (in theory) suspend opposing teams players from playing against philly. And if they win the cup, his name still goes on it. If he gets trades there, I'll forever thank the cosmos for toying with you. And my aunt lives in Kentucky and drives to all of the red wings games when they come down, I went with her to one and I ended up getting wasted with a group of about twenty people who all seemed ridiculously knowledgeable about the game and were a blast to be around. They gave me guff about being a red wings fan, but they all knew a ton more about red wings than I thought they would. Good people. Even the predsfan on here is cool.

Could you imagine the amount of coaches that would start putting that into their contract terms if Holland did it? It would be madness, MADNESS!!! But unfortunately I think too many GMs just want to see the wings fall for that to even be possible. I think they're are more than a few teams that would add him, but his cap hit is what, 2.4m for the next few years?He could be one of those guys teams think a change if scenery would help, and he was decent in stretches with the right partner, but who knows.
