They were probably embarrassed watching game tape from Vancouver and just decided to pick it up.Ha. Much better tonight. On Larkin's goal he took two Calgary players with him which made space for Deke, and let Larkin get that open.Definitely had some better moments tonight. -

The idea that we may get to see Nosek is exciting. I hope to hell they show a better effort than they did against Vancouver, so LETS GO WINGS! -
I'm hoping they play nosek and he thrives under Blashill. I also wish oulette would get to play, to see how he's coming along... but that's not gonna happen.
-
I'm not 100% on this, but I'm pretty sure last year Noseks first year with the griffins.Yeah, he had 34 points in 55 then He got that injury from cutting himself with the box cutter and this season he hasn't been scoring too much. I don't know who his line mates have been, or how they've deployed him but maybe he'll thrive under Blashill again, if he plays in place of Andersson. I hope he tears it up, he played center a lot last year and his years over seas, and he's been playing on the wing. But having another wing/center on the team always seems to come in handy. I thought he was going to and up being a solid 3c with the way he played last year...

Apparently he was unhappy playing in Toledo and made it known, so they're putting him through the waiver process to see if he gets a chance somewhere else and if not I imagine he'll be heading overseas.

Penguins Fire Head Coach Mike Johnston

No Letang and no MA added to that already weak as defense isn't going to win games... Maybe they just need to trade for more offensive firepower. -
He was indeed a healthy scratch for a game after he had been cleared to return.http://www.mlive.com/griffins/index.ssf/2015/12/anthony_mantha_sits_martin_frk.html "GRAND RAPIDS Anthony Mantha's absence from the Grand Rapids Griffins' lineup Wednesday turned into a golden opportunity for Martin Frk. Mantha was a healthy scratch for the first time this season, opening the door for Frk who provided the go-ahead goal in a 4-1 win against Milwaukee the team's ninth win in a row." Also, the lazy comments have been discussed ad nauseum on here, I can't recall if it was you or someone else who was saying that no one had called him lazy which was responded to with multiple links to quotes from scouts or front office types questioning his work ethics. What followed was anot inane discussion about the semantics of the similarities between the word lazy and the phrase "questionable work ethic/drive." To which the response was The word "lazy" was never used, and then a handfuk of links using the word lazy were then posted. People were questioning his work ethic, whether or not he was going to bust, and people doubting him and all that, which people have every right to question. Just because he's finding his stride in the ahl doesn't mean that he's guaranteed to be the player we hoped he'd become when we drafted him. Nothing is etched in stone, his progress can still stall and he could still bust, or he could hit his ceiling, or much more likely he'll fall somewhere in between. A differing opinion, or people expressing concerns about him aren't a reason to be condescending to someone still hoping he becomes the player you think/want him to be. And saying "I told you so" before it becomes so is pretty silly.

Wait, I'm confused... Did they announce the options they're considering for the name of the new arena, or are you saying we should recommend they consider this as the name? I know they announced the sponsors for the new arena, but I haven't heard anything about them leaning towards a certain name. Also, welcometc to letsgowings.Com, Jim.

Yeah, but with the game leaning away from the heavy stuff and becoming more about speed, I'd rather tats stay fast, so hell put on weight as he gets older... hopefully. I do like how he plays, if he was three inches taller he'd be one of our most popular players. -
If he really fought McGrattan AND Neil then I forgive him for the Holtby incident.

@KICKAZZ: Yeah dude, hes done some awesome stuff that shows he has the hands for whatever reason he's just not been trying anything fancy. I thought he was going to be a game changing dangler like datsyuk is/was Cuz his first season he'd try stuff like this in game. For whatever reason, he hasn't been doing anything good with the puck. I want to say its just his lack of confidence, but maybe his back is actually be that messed up that he can't do that stuff anymore. Like his penalty shot a few games ago, he looked like he was gonna try something, then just took a shot from just inside the top of the circle. As for the video... I think he just pulled the between the legs thing too soon, if he'd done that closer to the middle of the ice, then went back blocker side I think it would've worked. Look at how relaxed and poised he is with the puck.. I get its just the chl skills challenge, but I'd he was that calm and confident in the NHL I think he'd be much better off. He looked so good with sheahan and Tatar, and mickey and ken talking about how good the kids were. Hes too good to be the player he is now, I hope he gets his confidence back, or his back heals up, Cuz we could use that guy. Especially in shoot outs, since our best players try the same move every time or just can't score on em. -

Howie did surprisingly well in the shootout. I can't recall what round it went to(we had at least six attempts) and Howie only let in two. Can't do much when our guys aren't scoring. -
I hope you get back out there too man.

Larkin made a real nice move, then just missed. And is definitely throw Abby out there before helm. Jurco has made some really nice plays, his first goal was a spin o rama. And his behind the back tip pass assists were sweet, but some things wrong with him. Either his confidence is so low that his best asset is worthless, or his back problems have seriously messed him up. I was pretty high on him too, it sucks to see. -
Damn homes.I knew he had injury problems but I didn't know it was that bad. But best of luck on the recovery. And yeah, a goon goalie is awesome. But skating down holtby and beating him while he tries to stop it made me like him a lot less.

Jurco is sketchy in the shootout. He needs more confidence for sure, but the dude seems so lackadaisical in shootouts. Posting all those youtube videos must've used up his hands before he got to the NHL.
