Shanny gave Detroit a decade of great service and was an integral part of 3 Stanley Cups. His time here was done and he had nothing more to give to us. We thank him and at this point in his career, no one in Detroit will be spending 4 million on him. He likes New York, and this is awesome being in the eastern conference and all. More power to him. Short of him scoring a winning goal in game 7 of the Stanley Cup finals against Detroit, there's nothing he could do to make me love him less. But his time with us was over and he needed a new team and Detroit needed a new direction. Win win.

Why shouldn't they hate the Wings? For all the mentioned reasons. But I think the clincher for them is the fact that they and their organization/team are met with mostly indifference from Detroit. Can you imagine what that must feel like for them?

NO NO NO!!!!!! 1. What is this fascination with Guerin? Who have you guys been watching? He WAS a power forward. WAS. Not anymore. NOT what we're looking for in a winger. 2. The most annoying one. This guy is garbage. Hasn't been good in years. Has an attitude problem to boot and is out of shape. Isn't the physical presence we need. 3. OH GOD! FOR THE LOVE OF GOD! This guy is worse than garbage. He's got nothing for a playoff run. His body is broken. He can stay in Phoenix wherever or wherever he is and vacation. 4. Lapointe is the SORT of player we need. BUT he himself is NOT him. Not very motivated most of the time and his brain is not too smart. Remember L.A in 2001. Osgood or no Osgood, that is not the kind of physicality we need. Someone with more brains. My suggestions: Rafi Torres. Young-ish, tough, feisty, pretty quick and can lay the smackdown and brings attitude every night. Todd Fedoruk. 6'2, 250lbs. Nough said. And there's no need to mortage the farm like we would have to for HAS BEENS like your list. P.S, no offence to you mate, just generally speaking. I'm so tired of reading about Guerin and Tkachuk and the like. Guys who once WERE powerful and strong but who are not now. And who would be VERY expensive.

Realistic assesment. Teams are asking for 1st round picks and prospects for rent-a players who will be UFAs in the summer. Most of whom (Tkachuk) haven't had a really consistently good season in a long time. And Nashville mortaging the farm didn't help market value. Just get the grit which Holland can still find cheap and forgo the Guerin/Tkachuk nonsense (players who will not help us anyways, unless we are missing Lang-esque lazyness and older age).

Well the Laugh's fan said it right when he said he needed to get tougher. I don't know how anyone could argue with it to be honest. 1-2 grinding wingers with 1 of them hopegully being able to put the puck in the net while both being able to throw around their body is a must for a playoff run. No two ways about it. But the Laugh's fan need to STFU. His team is a joke. All grinders and muckers and zero talent aside from Sundin. I mean, we're speaking about an organization who this Saturday will be commemorating being 40 year losers. An organization which calls Rick Vaive and Peter Zezel, "Laugh legends". Ya they may beat up on teams, but still always end up never being a serious contender and never winning anything. And this won't change any time soon. At one point they had guys like Belak, Marchmant, and Domi in the lineup. Oh ya, lot's of success coming here.

With Chelios gone soon, even though Schneids is old too, he still has a couple more seasons left, so I would not trade him for Forsberg. I thought it was common knowledge that Forsberg has been with one foot back home to Sweden for a while now. And not like Lidstrom who reached the point of no return when his kids got to school. Forsberg has 1 mybe 2 seasons left and he is out. Lilja+Lang/Wiliams to Philly and we have a deal, but not Schneids.

What a HORRIBLE move by Holland. Damn if we couldn't get Carney or someone like that, he should have stood on what we already have. DAMN Cory Cross is BAD.
