Ugh...I can't stand them! I was sooo disappointed in the Bucs' performance last week. I thought for sure they were going to beat the 'Skins. Simms made a ton of mistakes, their recievers weren't catching the ball and the 'Skins D was just outstanding that game. If they can get their offense rolling, they might be able to beat Seattle, but at the same time, their D REALLY needs to be on top of it this game, otherwise you may see Alexander with yet another HUGE game. After beating the Bucs though, I definitely don't want to see them advance. I hope they lose, but they got a chance against Seattle. The Patriots/Broncos game should be a great one. Both teams like the cold, so I think it's going to come down to D. Both great QBs...so it should be interesting. Again, go Pats!

1/8 GDT: Detroit Red Wings Vs. Dallas Stars

Hmm...interesting indeed. Thanks for posting! And it's all Osgood's fault of course... For us to be up 3 goals and just stop playing for the most part in the middle of the 2nd period, that's just inexcusable. Remember, it takes a team effort to win. It appears we came out playing as a team, then tailed off in the middle of the game...that's not good. I'm sure Babs had a nice talk with them after that game. It's good to see that Babcock realizes that it wasn't Osgood's fault. -

And let me guess - it was all Osgood's fault for this loss? -

I didn't see the game, but after reading just a few posts in this thread, I take it the Wings came out strong, and totally lost it around mid-2nd period? Wow..that sucks. -

I can't see the game today, but I will be hoping for a win of course! This is another big test.. No score predictions, just go out and play hard. Go Wings, and go Ozzie! -
Nice win by the Wings tonight. Tomorrow should be a very interesting test.

Well, that's unfortunate for Green Bay. I always thought Sherman was a good fit there. Now, what happend to the Packers this year, who knows. Regardless, I don't think that was the right choice by their GM to do that. He did a great job coaching them and I'm sure he knew that Farve and Sherman had a very close relationship. With that said, even had Sherman not had gotten the boot, I think Farve is going to retire anyway, but this just officially made him retire -- not even think twice about it. I was watching their last game against the Bears(I think that's who it was) and the fans started to chant "ONE MORE YEAR! ONE MORE YEAR!"...with the firing of Sherman, I really don't think Farve will be returning to GB, or the NFL for that matter. He's had an oustanding career to say the least, and he will always be remembered around the league. If he comes back, I will be very, very shocked.

Wow, Joey looked great today! That was nice to see, but I don't think he'll be back next year. Best of luck to him on whatever team he goes on... The "Bus" looked absolutely unstoppable in today's game..the fans were just estatic. For a minute though, I actually thought the Lions were going to win. Guess I should've known, eh? Better luck next season.

Okay, I know this thread is on Dungy's son dying, which is very unfortunate, but I must ask this... I was watching the Seahawks-Colts game today and man, the Colts were not playing well at all, but there could be a few reasons for this -- they were resting their starters, their minds were in another place other than mentaly focused on the game, and they had someone else coaching them because Dungy was out. They had Manning in for a little while, but pulled him I think in the 3rd qtr or something, I don't remember. Despite not having him the entire game, Hasselbeck and the gang just looked unstopable. Seattle's defense really put a ton of pressure on Manning and made him rush the throw, which caused problems for their offense. I know they already clinched home-field advantage in the playoffs, but do you think they're still the top favorite to win the Super Bowl, or what? They're now 13-2. I was just really surprised that they lost this game in a way. Their last game is against the Cardinals, who have been struggling all season long. I think the Colts will finish the season 14-2. They're playing at home and I think it's a wake-up call after the loss this week to Seattle. Plus, maybe Dungy will be back coaching them? Anyway, your thoughts on the game? Also, during the half-time show, they had a thing on Dungy's son - like some tribute or something. They showed a picture of him and under it, it said "1987-2005"...how sad. Right before the holidays and whatnot. How tragic.

I haven't really seen the Saints play much at all this season, but I can speak about the Lions. They are pitiful. That simple. The Saints are going to dominate this game. Whether it be Harrington or Garcia that starts -- they suck.

Good one, seriously! I have a feeling you were being sarcastic but hey -- I like the little rhyme you made, because it's true! (Although a lot of you would definitely disagree!)

Two more school days until Christmas break! God, I can hardly wait!

Owens is a great player, he just needs to learn to keep his mouth shut! After this incident, I'm not sure who is going to really sign him at this point. There has been a lot of speculation of where Owens may end up, but nothing is certain just yet. IMO, no team is going to take a chance and sign him to a big contract due to his big ego and constant running of the mouth. It should be interesting though who signs him and how it will all play out in the end.

I would be fine with it. They just haven't had any success, so it's clear some changes need to be made. Getting rid of Millen could really be a good start, and as for Mooch I wouldn't miss all that much. I am also questioning their draft picks considering they haven't had much luck with Rogers and/or Williams. Something needs to be done in order for this team to have any success. IMO, getting rid of Mooch should be a top priority.

Lol at what you said, Relmyn. Anyway, I will just take it for what the topic starter is saying. I don't know about this. Arnason is a good forward, but Vancouver doesn't really need him. Naslund, Bertuzzi, Cooke, Park, H. Sedin, D. Sedin, and Chubarov are just some names they have up front. What they NEED is goaltending! However, they are morons and think Cloutier has what he needs to take Vancouver to the playoffs and take them *deep* into the playoffs. Pass on Arnason.

You are an odd one. Hmm..Shane_Pffanes jr., anyone?
-
I like Thomas and all, but I just don't see the point to sign him again. I'm not so sure about this one.

I wish. Will not EVER happen!!

Man, you had me in shock because I thought it was official or something.(As soon as I logged on, it said this was the newest topic or w/e, so I clicked it and I thought it was true!) Lol. Anyway, if that trade happend, I wouldn't mind it if they didn't cost too much. Plus, at least Kozlov would be someone to step it up in the playoffs, Datsyuk doesn't know anything about that. Then Stefan is just a solid offenseive guy that can definitely light the lamp. I'd love it, but I doubt it will happen. I'd like it even more if (not sure how much either guy makes or did make) if Stefan got like 2M and Kozlov 1.2M or somewhere along there. If the price was right, I'd take it in a heart beat!

No thanks. Zetterberg will be a HUGE star for Detroit in 2-3 years tops. Can't wait for him to blossum into a franchise cornerstone.
