    2/2 GDT: Red Wings 3, Bruins 1

Missed the game due to working, which is s***ty. Glad to see we got the win though. A little off topic: Anyone watching the Calgary/Dallas game on CBC? Pretty evenly played game. Tied 0-0 in the 2nd, with good end-to-end action!

Why Osgood can't start in the playoffs

I realize that nobody made me click this thread, but take a minute and look at when you joined, and when I joined. I've seen these threads a half a million times. It's been discussed. I took a break then came back and then I just thought it was funny that this was still a discussion, that's all. Once again, I'm standing by my original post -- there's still some hockey to be played. When the playoffs roll around, Babcock will most likely ride the hotter goaltender. I have confidence in both of them, so really, I don't care who starts.

    Weekend Picks

Is it too late for me to start doing this? I haven't been on these boards in a minute. Am I able to join in?

    Kronwall out 7-10 Days

Glad to hear he won't be out as long as I thought. It looked pretty bad when he went down and I thought forsure he'd be out for a lot longer. Hope he will be back in 7 days, but you don't want to rush it and have him get re-injured and then have it be worse.

    Jordin Tootoo

Well, that ends this whole discussion. Lol! No worries folks, Tootoo will be in Nashville for a little while longer.

Why Osgood can't start in the playoffs

I can't believe I took a break from the boards for quite some time and we STILL got the classic "goalie battle" going on. There's still the second half of the season to be played, so why argue who should be the starter come playoff time? I like both of our goaltenders. I'm sure when it comes closer to playoffs, Babcock will go with whoever is playing better at the time.

    Ilya Kovalchuk Injures Knee

Ouch. Got to hope it's nothing too serious. Hope he'll return to the ice sooner rather than later.

    1/30 GDT: Red Wings 3, Coyotes 2

I've got to work until 10pm, so I'm going to miss the entire game. The Wings are going to come out from the start and play a good, solid game. No predictions, just chalk up another win. GO WINGS!!!

    Jordin Tootoo

It would be nice if he came to Detroit, but it won't happen. He always plays with an edge and defends his star players and while he might dish out a few cheap shots here and there, there's other players around the league that have done that, too. Once again though, I wouldn't mind it, but I just don't see it happening.

    Kovalchuk Hit

Agreed 100% Dirty hit forsure. IMO, it should be at least a 3-5 game suspension.

    1/22 GDT: Red Wings 3, Kings 0

Now if we lose, we know who to blame. Someone got too confident. :battle:

    2007-2008 NFL Playoff Thread

Now it's down to New England and the Giants. While I would like to see the Giants be the only team to give New England a loss this season, I don't think it's going to happen, despite the fact that the Giants did almost give them a "L" in the regular season. The Patriots just barely got by with a 38-35 victory. It's going to be a good game, but I think right now New England is really firing on all cylanders and they will stop at nothing to win this Super Bowl. With all that said though....Let's go Giants!!

    2007 Green Bay Packers Thread

That was a great game on Sunday. Although I don't care for the Packers much, I respect their team, and most of all, Brett Farve and his accomplishments on the field. I was pleased to see the Giants won, but still was very sad to see how disappointed Farve was after he threw that interception and watched him walk back in the lockerroom in utter disbelief. There's no word on whether or not Farve is going to retire, but honestly, the way he played all throughout this season, I won't be surprised he plays one more season with the Packers. Guess we'll have to wait and see.

    Impressive Skills....

That was a nice video! I think I remember seeing that on CBC or something during HNIC. Regardless quite impressive. My favorite was shooting the puck on top of the net when he was all the down at the other end of the ice.

    1/22 GDT: Red Wings 3, Kings 0

I'm actually going to be able to catch this game. I haven't been able to see many games because I am usually working 2-10pm, so I'll be getting off tonight and watching the game! No predictions for me. Just hoping they come out of the gates flying and get the W! Let's go Wings!!!

    Zetterberg Article

It's always a good thing when your younger guys know now that a lot of the veterans are gone, they are going to have to step it up this season if they want to make it into the playoffs. It should be interesting to see how well we do, and how much Zetterberg and Datsyuk step it up this year. All though it's going to take a team effort to make it anywhere, those two are going to have to be our "leaders".
