On a tip in. Hossa scored his 500th last night. Letting him walk to keep Franzen sure looks great. I know no one could have predicted his career would be cut way short, but anyone could have predicted Hossa would remain a major scoring threat. Remember when he scored 40 goals in his one season in Detroit? That was nice.

Nope they didn't. Huge dropoff between Quick and Zatkoff. Zatkoff has been capable in the past though... For the last few years whenever Quick was out with Injury they always seemed to have a backup or someone in the AHL to come in and play solid for them, like Martin Jones, Bernier, even Scrivens did pretty well there. Guess luck ran out.

There will be room for Mantha when he's waiver eligible. Holland didn't refuse trade offers involving him that could have improved the D just to lose him to waivers one day.

I know it doesn't make sense for the Wings right now. But i would like to see Coreau get some games in. For the Kings it would if the Wings retain most of his salary in a trade. Or like said above, send us Zatkoff and keep Howard as Quick's backup.

Pretty much. I get nervous whenever he faces a shot, but he's gotta start some games. Weird giving him the start after only three games that Mrazek played well in, especially the last one. Bit early for a rest. You'd think they'd want him to keep playing to stay focused and get in a groove. Ahh well. Hope Howard can get the W.

He doesn't have to be claimed. If/when he clears, they can assign him yo the minors. Howard might not be of interst to any teams, but nothing stopping him being sent down.So many seem to think that if he isn't traded or claimed then that's it, but it's not.

Just watched the two fights from last night. Not much there..few shots and some wrestling. E wins the first, Neil the second, not that there was much to win. Fights aren't like they used to be.

One top D man and Howard won't make any more difference than Mrazek already does.

Just checked box score. 5-1 Wings...wow what a turnaround!! Vanek's gonna be the man for this team. Mrazek solid again, but got the W this time. I see Errorsson fought Phaneuf in the 1st? How'd that go? lol

While the season is very young, Vanek has been their best forward. One of the only bright spots so far and brings much needed scoring, size, and he actually goes to the net. No thanks.
