Well, Mrazek accelerated himself. Basically went from junior to Detroit in three seasons with a Calder Cup win in the first and split the third between GR and Detroit. Don't see that often.

Mrazek looks much less erratic in goal this year. He's more focused and relaxed, not overplaying shots, playing his angles well. Maybe he just needed that kick in the ass that came with signing for less than half of his previous salary to be the backup (at the time) in Carolina. Last chance to dance.

Yeah, Coreau wasn't an NHL goalie, really. Surprised Anaheim threw him a bone in the offseason. He could have been a good one with his size, but he played like he was 5'9. Howard could have left and returned, yes. Maybe Holland did get offers and asked him what he wanted to do, because he wanted to extend him, and he said i'll stay put.
