Mrazek will only get better in shootouts I think. He's too aggressive in them right now, but he'll figure it out. Howard just...no need to say it.

I fully agree. Especially Cole. Figures our "big, gritty, physical power forward" deadline move gets an "upper body injury" and milks it a couple weeks after coming here. As for tonight's game..they just need to play like they give a s*** and WIN, perhaps decisively, like we all know can be done.

How is it unrealistic to expect a team that was leading the Conference at one point to continue on that pace and not fizzle out when it's really time to play hockey? Tampa, Montreal, Anaheim, etc. don't seem to have that problem. I hope they turn things around, but the team just looks lost, exhausted, brain dead, bored, just don't care..whatever it is. It's sad to watch. Or funny, depending how you look at it, when you KNOW this team is capable of a lot better. I think 7. But either way, still awhile.

Thurs. will be four straight starts for Mrazek. Got the shutout in Tampa, pulled against the Isles, and a shootout loss tonight where he was the only reason the team got a point. He's actually done decent considering, but three games is nothing. He's not even technically the full time backup. He's up cause of an injury. Gus will most likely get that job back if he comes back from his concussion.

Agreed, but Cole is'nt a factor now, since he's injured, and he was supposed to be the big tough rugged fast scoring winger we needed. Zidlicky is a bottom pairing defenceman. Those moves are nothing at this point. The core this team had all season that should be playing well together just looks terrible out there. It is very strange.

Looks like he's getting his chance now, but for how long? Babs will throw Howard out there eventually on a hope and a prayer he'll turn back into his All-Star form for the playoffs. It's hard for Mrazek to get into a rhythm when he does'nt know when he'll lose the job.
