That play was funny as hell. Perron and Horn both tried to hit Smith, but he just stood there and they bounced off of him and fell.

Gus will be moving on after this season. No reason to keep him now that Mrazek is ready.

Gus was also one of the reasons we even made the playoffs last year when Howard was hurt. Mrazek had almost no NHL experience then. Always best to have an experienced backup, as was said above. Who said they did'nt want him to play?

lol Thing is, he CAN steal games. We've all seen it. Oh well. Mrazek has been creeping up on him for awhile now, pretty soon it'll be decision time.

Not saying that's what he was thinking, but you don't often see a team leave a goalie in after letting in 7 goals, no matter how bad everyone else is playing around him. I'm sure there was a reason behind it, but he's not gonna go say it flat out to the press so Howard's confidence gets completely crushed. Just more of a wake up call. I'm sure he got one yesterday as well with Mrazek getting the start and playing lights out.

They sure are special. They've given me lots of entertainment over the years living in a city thats around 90% either Leafs or Habs fans.

Even though Gus is injury prone, I still don't see Mrazek getting the backup job over him when/if he returns this season, no matter how well Mrazek plays. He'll most likely be a healthy scratch or back in GR, cause thats just how it seems to work. Next season though he'll be the full time backup. Never know though I guess...

Might be a bit premature to say, but I wonder if Mrazek thinks the starting job is up for grabs due to Howard's recent play? If he does, hopefully Babs feels the same. Take it Mraz! And holy s*** Kate Upton!
