3-1 Isles, 1:17 to play. The Isles crowd is insane. Isles WIN!!! Hahaha Malkin is such a whiner. Just HATES losing, and always pulls an after whistle/game tantrum.
-
The teal/yellow wasn't bad, but never liked the green/yellow. Which is weird because i dig the Oakland A's colors. I doubt they'd be using teal again unless it was subdued, due to SJ.
-
Yes, it was. They came close to making the Caps pay for it, too. Close game. Mrazek allowed three goals in the first, but wasn't much he could do about two of them. He looks different. Not playing erratic and jumping all over the crease, leaving his net like he used to. They sure are. Vancouver's are worse though. Seattle might beat them both, they like their yellow/green combos.

Yeah, but Nabokov was actually a good signing that cost next to nothing. He just had to clear waivers, but it was a long shot. Even if a team didn't need a goalie, no one wanted Detroit loading up in goal. I remember him being pissed about that and he refused to report to NYI. He signed for next to nothing to play with a contender and try to win a Cup, not to help a s***ty team out.
-
Anddd Washington with the empty netter. 4-2 win.
-
Remember when the Wings signed Nabokov for league minimum for the playoffs and NYI stole him off re-entry waivers? That was s***ty.
-
Leafs win 4-1. Boston had NOTHING going. Marner made Rask look ridiculous on a penalty shot. They better regroup and get their s*** together.
-
Sparks is back!!!
-
Can't wait to bash the Leaf fans again this year. And laugh at their yearly reply of "We'll win it next year!!!"
-
I've already seen it. Great film, doesn't leave much out from his childhood days until his death. The guy had a lot of off ice issues, to say the least. I always felt bad he didn't get to raise the Cup in '97 with Stevie and Kocur, but it was his own doing. Shows Demers ratting out Probert and the rest of the guys on the team who were out drinking the night before the final game against Edmonton in the Conference Finals in the late '80's. He just laid everything out. What an idiot. lol

McLennan. LOL

4/9 2019 Draft Lottery GDT - Red Wings vs The World - 8:00 PM ET (NBCSN)

6th overall again, hmmm? Finished 4th from the bottom after going on a 6 game win streak at the end of the season, clearly not TRYING to tank. Chicago steals 3rd overall after finishing 12th from the bottom, just missing the playoffs? I agree fully with Burke, for once. Lottery for first overall should be limited to the bottom 5. It is what it is right now, but franchise owners and management need to start complaining about that s***, and demand a solution. Hell, they should have when Edmonton got the three firsts in four years. -
Teams just have to shut down their top 3-4 forwards and they become average fast. Andersen often has to stand on his head. Compare Andersen's shots against total in 60 games to Howard's in 55. Jimmy faced 250 shots less on a much worse team standings wise. A contender can't let that much rubber hit the net if they hope to win. Or their goalie pulls an '03 Giguere.
-
10-1 haha The Wolves dropped Game 2, 5-0. Luukkonen isn't looking like himself. Seems about right for that team. Something always falls apart. I dunno if they can come back from an 0-2 hole against Ottawa.
-
True, I probably give them too much credit. They have barely any D and a goalie that may fall apart again. Boston is in their heads too after last year.
-
Seeing the curse of '67 continue is something I look forward to yearly. Especially now that they have a great team, it even sweeter. Every second person is a Leafs fan here. "Next year were gonna win it, watch!!" hahaha
-
Jets. Only Canadian team I don't completely despise. Boston i'm rooting for too, just until they knock out the Leafs.
-
Ottawa is such a dumpster fire. lol
-
Just noticed the Avs have Ottawa's first round pick from the Turris/Duchne deal? Hahaha that suckssss.
-
54 points from a guy making $3 million is hard to hate on though...
-
As i said elsewhere, the top young forwards (Larkin, AA, Mantha, Bertuzzi) really stepped up to lead this year. AA especially. He's always had the hands and skating, but he took a massive step forward in putting it all together.
-
Exactly. Abby isn't going anywhere. He's been a Wing since what? 2008? One of the longest serving players on the team along with Howard, Helm, Ericsson, and Kronwall (who may be done). He's very active in media relations and in the community as well. He'll retire a Wing I figure.

Witkowski is fun to have around just for the fact he fights, sort of the unofficial enforcer on the team. But other than that, I agree Bowey should get the spot over him. -
Yep, it was a mistake, considering how solid a backup he was for them. He was going to get claimed when he hit waivers. Sparks was sent to the AHL despite signing a one year extension, and Hutchinson is the backup heading into the playoffs. Sounds like they didn't have much confidence in him bailing out Andersen if need be. https://www.sportsnet.ca/hockey/nhl/leafs-left-no-choice-remove-sparks-lineup-playoffs-loom/ Dubas isn't well liked by Leafs fans for letting Mac go and signing Nylander to ridiculous money when he was being a little s*** and holding out.
