Everyone blames the Defense. Other goalies in this league on worse teams steal games. Howard just can't seem to do that. From what I saw, quite a few of those goals were stoppable. Good on Babs for leaving him out there. Maybe he's sick of his half assed play as well.

Sit Ericsson for the season. He can join Andersson on water bottle duty.

Just watched the highlights. My god. Schenn's goal to open the third was a pure embarrassment. Howard just stood there with his legs open, did'nt even try to stop it.

I'm obv a fan of his if you see my avatar, and have defended him against the haters on this board. I'm not wishing for him to be done. Far from it. I'd be really happy if he came back, but i'm being realistic. Concussion symptoms can linger for awhile, and even if he is healthy for next season, I doubt he'll be resigned because Mrazek has to come up. And I honestly can't see another team taking a chance on him long term with his injury history. Heart, groin, shoulder, concussion..it's a long list and somewhat of a risk. That's why I said most likely short term at low salary.

Howard had a .809 save% today. That's a problem when it's your starting goaltender.

I don't think i'm superior to anyone. lol But yeah, I know southern cities are'nt equipped to deal with it. They don't have plow trucks, but they can always organize some loaders and backhoes to clear the streets though. May take longer, but it can be done. And no, they may not have salt around, but sand works too. Lots of people drive in snow without winter tires as well.

Put Smith in for Ericsson and that looks good. Good enough for what we have to work with anyways. Holland def did'nt prepare this team for Lidstrom's retirement like he should have. That's a big reason why our D has problems. I think he thought Kronwall was going to step up and be alot more than he has been.

That's why I think it's so stupid how Leaf games are sold out for around 5 years in advance, and even getting tickets for the nosebleeds can run you $200 on Stubhub. Why do Leaf fans continue to pay to go watch their team do so poorly, buy merch, etc.? Theres so much Leafs merch out there, especially here in Ontario, it makes me sick. It's EVERYWHERE. lol

That's an understatement. With the teams they've had over the years, they should have won a cup by now, especially when they had Nabby in his prime. It's fun to laugh at though.

I def don't get how Weiss can be a healthy scratch while Andersson plays. That's hilarious.

When Weiss came in this year and played well, I thought here we go, Wings are finally gonna get the player they signed, but does'nt look that way. I think it's best he moves on after July 1 as well, but with the Babcock situation still up in the air, if he does'nt resign, then whoever our next coach is, he may use Weiss more. Weird situation.

Andersson needs to be relegated to water boy for the rest of his tenure in Detroit. So useless. Blows my mind he's even in the NHL at all. It's worth a shot. And I agree about Marchenko. He can have Ericssons spot.

Exactly. Zero excuse for Howard's play, especially when we KNOW he can play MUCH better, even steal us a game now and then. It's his 6th season as starter, and he makes 5 million a season. He's hardly new to the NHL game. Time to earn that money and stop being such a sieve when he's capable of alot more.

Of course he was too old. He was left in the AHL for way too long. Either way, I wonder what happened to him? He can still play that way, but he does'nt seem to want to. At least not on a consistent basis.

That Hammond guy in Ottawa is pretty damn good. Almost every season one team has a rookie goalie that emerges and shuts everything down. Why can't we ever be that team?
