Cause the Sharks are all over us, and we just got called for a joke penalty. Should have just been interference on Howard too, no call. -

Good choice getting seats in front of the glass. Never been to the Joe, but I love watching hockey games from that close. Makes it a bit hard to see all the way down ice sometimes, depending whats on the side of the rink in front of you(team benches, etc.), but theres nothing like seeing and hearing, sometimes even feeling, a bone crunching check a few feet right in front of you.

Well they did change their logo somewhat, so maybe it's another shark with a newer stick. Still lazy though. -

Agreed. I knew he would'nt get it though. Jimmy needs to hold it down. -
Zetterberg leaves after 2nd Period; "upper body injury"

Nah, there's guys that agitate, but don't fight. Either they just back down, or someone else steps in to handle their dirty work. -

Need this win! LGW! -
Cause Jimmy wastes his time flopping around trying to sell penalties instead of just covering the puck. Hasek could do both.

Yep. After Game 1 I had high hopes. But they quickly faded...
-
True. lol

Losing 5-2 is basically the same as 4-1. Pulling the goalie with 12 minutes left is pretty unheard of, but it did'nt really burn him, so whatever.
-
Did'nt mean he's a playoff disaster so far. Just saying if he REALLY stinks it up this year, and they do try to move him, it could be hard. Would be really really nice if he could steal us a game.
-
Same here. But even if they shopped him, his salary is pretty high for a team to take on knowing he's a playoff disaster. Changes of scenery can work wonders though...

This article was written about when Lindros was still a 19 year old kid, high on himself, high on what people were saying about how great he was, his dad was in his business. Does'nt give him the right to be a total dick, especially the not signing/destroying the posters for charity, but obv he matured if he started supporting charities and all that after awhile. It happens.

Like one person said in the comment section of the article, tying up a player after a face-off is a routine play, and should'nt result in a sucker punch to the head. I realize emotions can get the best of players on the ice, but the punch was not warranted for one, and since it also resulted in an injury, it should be a punishable offence. Star players almost always get away with bulls***, even against other star players it seems. -
Makes sense I guess. Philly sure gave up a hell of a package of players for him. Made Quebec a playoff team instantly, plus the $15 million in cash. Haven't seen anything like it since. At the time, many touted him as the best player since Gretzky though, just a bigger version. Obv he was never THAT great, but he was still damn good. If not for the injuries, he would have done a lot more.

Patrick Kane, out anywhere from a month to rest of the season
chaps80 replied to Jersey Wing's topic in General
Long as the player(s) they pick up are UFA. If not, they'd have to do some scrambling before next season to get Kane back in and be under the cap. Plus either way they lose whatever assets they gave up to fetch those guys. I guess it could be worth it for a shot at another cup, especially if Kane gets back while they're still playing... -

Bout all I can say as well. lol -
I suppose you can call Jimmy's confidence questionable too though. When he gets scored on, he usually lets in a goal or two within a short period of time afterward. There are just some goalies that don't handle being scored on or getting pulled well. Luongo is one, and he's considered "elite" by many. Jimmy has bad rebound control too, and more often than not, does'nt save them. As for being too aggressive, Mrazek has the same problem, and he's like the second coming of Jesus around here. Long as the pucks stay out, play that goaltender imo.

I was young at the time, but never really understood the Quebec deal. What was his problem with going there? Because they sucked? Because he was a suck? Have'nt heard of a player refusing to play for the NHL team that drafted them since, as crappy as the team was. Woulda been like Crosby telling the Pens to suck it. And we all know what a whiner he is. Either way, it's funny how Quebec got some crucial players that contributed to the Avs two cups after the move to Colorado for Lindros, and Lindros only went to the Finals once with Philly, and was swept by the Wings. Retired cupless.
