Well thats what I said before. Theres no reason to get rid of anyone. Gus still has value to this team. Just do the simple thing and send Mrazek to GR where he should be to get playing time, and all is settled. But, if they really feel the need to move Gus, at least try to gain something before going the waiver route, ya know?

All i'm saying is that they should try to get something for him instead of just exposing him to waivers, no matter what it is. He's not a horrible goalie. When he's on his game and healthy he's actually pretty damn good, and for a team that needs short term experienced help in goal, he fits the bill. Without him last season, we don't make the playoffs.

Just suggested NYR would have interest as they are fighting for a playoff spot, King Henrik is out, and from what i've seen of Talbot, he looks shaky in the #1 role. Would be some good insurance for them.

A 6th rounder is still better than nothing, although I think he could fetch more. Just hate to see players lost for no return just because they're unsure about what they want to do. It's not really a complicated scenario. At all.

Yeah, this is a pure tank move. Enroth is a much better goalie than Lindback, trade makes no other sense but to help them lose. Dallas def scored on this one, even with the pick they give up. Their goaltending has'nt been too solid this season. Tampa has gone through alot of goalies in past years. I lost count long ago. Least now they have stability with Bishop.

Yay a Leaf rebuild. Maybe the 70,000 Leaf fans in this city will finally shut up about winning for a little while. Probly not though...

I like Mrazek, but three of the four goals he let in should have been routine saves, especially the first and fourth. Second goal he had no chance on. He did well in his call up, even though he allowed quite a few goals. I'm hoping he goes down to GR where he can continue to play alot and keep improving. This whole "not knowing what to do with our goalies" thing and carrying three makes no sense. I think its pretty simple. Howie and Gus in Detroit, Mraz in GR. Or trade Gus and keep Mraz up full time if you really want him in Detroit. Hopefully Holland does'nt pull a dumb move and waive Gus, where he will be claimed and lost for nothing. Should at least try to get something for him if hes expendable. I don't feel he is, but i'm not Holland.

Nabby was a hell of a goalie in his prime. Another great goalie retiring without ever hoisting the cup. It still kinda burns me that he was signed and ready to come to Detroit, but the Isles plucked him. Don't blame him for acting how he did after that either. You sign with a team you want to play for, then some bottom feeder(at the time) says "uhhh nah, your gonna play for us instead." He eventually gave in cause he pretty much had to, and we all knew he'd get claimed, was just too good to be true he was coming to Detroit for league minimum lol but it was a s***ty thing to happen for sure. I don't see what they're so unsure about. Mrazek has a great record, did his job when called upon, is the future #1, but he's got some glaring weaknesses. Some of the goals he lets in are beyond soft. Even just a simple thing like putting his upper body against the post, and the Pens first goal om Wed. does'nt go in. Send him down to GR where he can work on these things, and go with Howard and Monster for the rest of the season barring injury and bring Mrazek up full time next year when Monster will be UFA. Carrying three goalies makes no sense. Mrazek does'nt need to clear waivers, Monster does, and he would most likely be claimed. Or, if they really think Mrazek is ready to back up full time, then trade Monster for something. I'd hate to see this turn into a situation where Kenny loses another player for nothing, especially one with value. I'm sure NYR would be interested in him.

Read on NHL.com that the Wings would be one of the teams most interested in Neuvirth or Enroth if the Sabres decide to move either. Are they really needed here?

Exactly. Its too bad theres nothing that can be done about them possibly scoring another #1 pick. There should be a rule about how many #1's a team can get and still not improve as a franchise. lol It really is ridiculous.

A case could be made for this, but I can't see Howard splitting time, at least not anytime soon. He makes $5 million a season. That's too much money to have him sit on the bench for 40 games.

Yeah when they are winning, their fans are so happy, but when they inevitably start to lose again, they're like "i'm done with this ******* team", but then the cycle starts over when they win a game. One of my friends burned his jersey after that epic loss in Game 7 to Boston in OT when they came into the third leading 4-1. He had a brand new one ready by the start of the next season.

I think he actually got that nickname when he was playing in Sweden. It just carried over, cause ya, Leaf fans thought he was their saviour. I remember a guy i worked with being so excited about that signing. How quickly he became obsolete in Toronto. lol

I said he looked good against Tampa. I was impressed with his ability to play the puck. He did'nt look that good against Buffalo, imo anyways. Was'nt that his first NHL win? And how long has he been in the Wings system? Not to mention a first round pick? He has'nt showed much promise so far, but that may be due to Mrazek being ahead of him for call-ups and not getting chances.

Wonder who gets the start Thursday...Monster or Mrazek?
